Supercrosslive Video Pass video quality

I live in Canada and don't have NBC Sports as part of my cable package. I purchased the Supercrosslive video pass so I could watch all of the supercross races live. For the $129.99 USD that I paid for this service I find the video quality extremely poor. Current internet speed is 60 Mbps. I've tried watching with the Supercrosslive app on Apple TV, using Google Chrome with my laptop connected to my TV and even tried it at a friend's place with faster internet all with the same results.
Does anyone else who bought this service find the video quality poor?
Poll

Is Supercrosslive Video Pass Video Quality acceptable at $129.99 USD / year?

Yup shithouse. In Aus we've got no other option either and I've experienced the same issues. Lags, buffers, picture freezes, sound out of sync and poor quality picture.
I usually watch the TV with a hdmi to the laptop to get the best connection possible, but still experience regular issues. Internet speed tests good and I can stream movies, watch Netflix or YouTube without a problem but supercross live pisses me off every time! Especially considering it's nearly $200 aud.
I hoped it would be better this year but no. Looks like I'll be yelling at the tv all season, and not in a good way.

I get 1080p just fine with no lag or buffering BUT...

if I don't watch it live and go back in the timeline to catch up it pauses/freezes every couple of minutes and you have to refresh the page (which auto loads to the live feed) to get it to play again. Very annoying. It's almost like they're caching the live feed on the back end and every time it happens if it's not live it disrupts the timestamp information on the player causing it to lose the info and freeze the feed.

I just noticed you're from Texas. Are you using a VPN? The Supercrosslive video pass I subscribe to states "THIS SERVICE IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES". Is it possible you are using the NBC Sports Gold Supercross Pass? The NBC Sports Gold Supercross Pass is a more reasonably priced subscription available only to subscribers within the United States. The "Supercross Live Video Pass" is for countries outside of the United States.

I'm in Canada as well and have had no problems, the quality has been excellent. Now with the old provider they used before this one...that was terriable. With the exchange rate it is pretty expensive but it's pretty much the only thing to keep me sane during the winter. Last year they had a deal on the package for 100 usd that was a pretty good price.

Do you use the Supecrosslive app to stream on your TV or do you connect your laptop to your TV and stream from an internet browser? Just curious.

Yeah the old provider (Cleeng??) was HORRENDOUS. I remember Houston 2018 was pretty much like watching a live stream from 2001. It was jerky beyond belief. I had a lot of issues with them over the course of that season.

I have a solid connection (200Mbps min) and I stream via my Mac Mini on a direct ethernet connection. I can get 1080p live, and I usually watch in the home office with a 27 inch monitor and external Bose speaker system. This way the big TV is still free for everyone else when the races are on live. If I'm connecting to the TV I'll use the MacBook and go direct HDMI from it to the TV. If I'm traveling I just use the iPad app and watch on it. Yes I'm an Apple slut.

I bought the pass rather than using a vpn this year so we can watch anywhere but the quality is all over the place, even with 300 mbps down. Rdl had a great quality picture but the sounds was out of sync for most of the broadcast. Night show was lagging and glitching for most of the broadcast but thankfully come main event time it suddenly worked great. I tried through my phone, computer and firestick and all were the same

I'm in Canada and I've got about 60Mbps and I find watching the old 2019 and 2020 races is terrible. I don't get consistent 1080p so the quality of the pic goes for okay but not fantastic at 1080p to terrible and then back to okay. For what I paid, $130 USD I am not impresssed.

I would expect 4k video at that price eh!

Doing a quick google search:
Bandwidth
Online streaming remains the biggest source of 4K content, led by Netflix and Amazon’s growing selection of original series. But many consumer broadband connections aren’t fast enough to allow reliable 4K streaming.

Amazon recommends at least 15 megabits per second, while Netflix advises 25 Mbps. But if other devices at home will be occupying your bandwidth, 15 or 25 Mbps alone won’t suffice.

I would think 60Mbps is lots but we don't have reliable access to good video from SupercrossLive.TV
