I believe it was 91' (or 2') RED BUD. Trow was close to buying a new blue van, so we trashed out the Old one in fine style just north and West of Larocco's leap. The roof was totally caved in after our shenanigans👍

I graduated from college that May. Deferred my job until the end of August so I could train and prep for Loretta's and do some other traveling. The North Central Regional at Lake Geneva was rained out, and I'm not sure how scoring was done, but I was credited with 9th in 250/Open B Stk and Mod. I also ran the Mid-East regional Dutch Sport Park in MI and got another 9th in the 4stroke class there.
In the end I got an alternate spot in all the classes and decided to go down by myself and meet up with a couple riding buddies from WI.
After practice, I got confirmation that a spot opened up in the 4-stroke class. I was the only Husaberg there along with 41 Yamaha YZF400s!
Wasn't an overly successful week, but had an absolute blast!
We had an awesome pit location right along the creek. Luckily we didn't get any big rains like some years when the creek floods...
There were a couple kids pitted near us that had a little plastic canoe. All week long they were sliding down into the creek, just having the time of their lives!
This was Travis Pastrana's last amateur race, about a month after he launched his bike into the San Fran bay at X Games. He was also running 36, I wanted to have him sign my bib but was too chicken to go up to him to ask.
He dominated 125 A and 250/Open A.
Another WI rider and future AX Champ Chad Johnson had a good week with 4th in 125 A.
PAs Damien Plotts took the W in 250/Open Pro Sport. Almost exactly a year before this I had gotten to hang out and ride with him ahead of the Lake County Fair race. He got hurt pretty bad at that race, so it was good to see him bounce back.
Finally, no trip to Loretta's is complete without some creek action and a few scooter shenanigans!
