Ribs and Sternum are bruised so bad they are worried about him coming up short on a jump that it could kill him.

He very well could have a broken rib or 3 and if so, that can easily kill you (broken ribs can puncture internal organs).

Also, if he has "bruised ribs" he very well could have injured internal organs too. It's nothing to joke about or minimize. I hope he heals up 100%. Tough break for him . . . even though I called it.

there will always be an excuss out of that camp. when you are where jlaw is, you need to be racing no matter what. have to tuff it out, salvage as many points as you can.

Good point, but without knowing the extent of his injuries it's a little premature to playing the blame game. There are times when he misses races for reasons that clearly other than "life threatening" (e.g., his finger earlier this year).

My buddy just broke his collar bone, and 3 ribs, and had to do a week in the hospital for collapsed lung risk. He crashed at a SX up in NE.
All I heard was bruised when Erin was telling Weedge. Hope this is the only round he's out.
