I love this bike and it was one of my faves to restore
As a kid I grew up riding YZs and got this as my first CR in 1984
Loved Hondas so much I didn't get anything else until 01
Hope you guys like it

In '83 I must have walked (couldn't drive yet) back & forth between the local Honda & Kawi dealers at least a thousand times. Finally decided to get the new KX125.

My buddy bought a new CR at the same time. I never admitted it to him, but the CR handled WAYYY better than my KX, and was almost as fast. Almost.

Nice bike Lee-I made sidepanels backgrounds by taping a piece of paper on the sidepanel and tracing it. Then I cut it out and taped it on a blank piece of background material and cut it out. Worked great and looked cool. Thanks Frog

Beautiful bike. Should look great next to the other bikes.

I like your creative techniques to sidepanel and seat refurbishing Smile

Lee your 83 CR125 restoration turned out great! I'm in the middle of doing a 83 CR125 as well, I want to make the side panels white with yellow backgrounds because of AHRMA and was wondering who's paint you used, I saw the Fast Red on the website but was wondering what to use for white & yellow on the plastic.
Thanks for your time!

Glad you like the bike
As far a as plastic paint... I have never used any.
I am sure some of the guys on here know what to use.
Just ask around or start a thread and someone will know

I'm about to start the restoration of my 83 CR125R. Can you be of assistance in telling me where I can find some NOS parts?

Also looking for a LH crank case and a clutch cover.

What paint did you use for your frame?

please respond to MicahKev@pacbell.net

Thanks,
