American Idol Final Round Tonight....

Oh no, you misunderstand. I just have a hard time watching him perform. Depending on which direction (musically) he chooses to go, I'll probably buy his CD. I just wont be buying his videos. I like a lot of bands that have some freeky looking people in them. It makes the world go around.

I kind of agree with that. I don't care for the closeups.

I don't think it's homophobic in any way to have a preference to want to see or not want to see that. I don't care to see Heart closeup today...but, 25 years ago wasn't too bad.

With only a 1.1% lead for Kris DialIdol is calling it "too close to call". They say that's the first time that's ever happened with them on the finale:

Only 1.1% separate Kris and Adam - this is too close to call no matter how you calculate margin of error and no matter how many directions you apply it.

Kris seems to have that inconsequential, 1.1% lead over Adam and he held that lead pretty much the whole night. DialIdol measured the busy signal every four minutes last night. What was interesting was that Kris seemed to consistently beat Adam by that slim margin for the first two hours of voting - as opposed to them alternating victories. This is a sign that the data you see is accurate but - again - there is no way to call it accurate when only 1.1% separates them!

Adam seemed to fair better on the West coast winning all three Pacific states and edging Kris more often than not. Traditionally these Pacific states have a hard time over-riding what happened in the rest of the country but with scores this close it is simply too close to call!

This should make for one heck of a finale!

Wow, Kris did really good with that song. I'm not a country fan but I liked that.

I missed the first hour of the finale because of class - what was performed before Adam sang "Rock and Roll All Nite"? That's what was on when I turned it on.

Oh wow, you would ask. My memory sucks but I sure liked that tune Steve Martin wrote. They really did a great job on that.

Yeah, I thought last night was his best night. I can't remember the last season I thought the best singer won it. In fact I don't recall there ever being a season where my pick won it.

I'm completely unsurprised. Idol's never really been a talent contest.

I really doubt it'll matter as far as Adam's future career.

I figured Kris would win Idol tonight. Kris is more clean cut and people go for that more. I still like Adam and believe that he will do great.

It was a great show. I really enjoyed all the performances they had on the show tonight. I'm a big Rod Stewart and KISS fan so seeing them on the show was great.

His losing was probably the best thing for him.
He'll be free from his contract faster and has less commitment to the production.

You are right about that Dave. You are right Adam can get out of his contract faster than Kris can now. Also, he will hopefully out sell and out shine Kris. I was just hoping for once I picked the winner. Well, hopefully next year I will get it right.

I thought Archie was a little better. I thought his "Imagine" was the best performance of anyone that year. It was close though.

Fergie was friggin smoking hot tonight. Awesome to see Adam get a chance to sing with both KISS and Queen in one night. Not surprised to see Kris win - Adam has his large following of rabid fans, but his fans are his fans. When Gokey went out, I figured the conservative folks were going to throw all their votes Kris' way. Surely Kris needed the win more than Adam did. Adam is only tied in to Idol for one year I believe. I'm sure they'll throw truckloads of cash at him to sign a longer deal, but doubt that he'd limit his options like that. He's better off without the win.
