Won Arenacross UK for the 2nd week in a row with the 250 ahead of the 450 guys. Somebody give this young man a ride for east coast...
I still think he's a main event guy at best in the US. Beating 450s in the UK on a 250 doesn't say much. It might even have been an advantage beeing on a 250 on a tight arenacross track. Look at the Hawaii SX when Sipes almost won on a 250 against 450s.
Not bashing on the talent of the guy but he's had a rough go so far with injuries and whatnot and he would need a few years on a serious program before he can be considered a top 10 guy in the US.

He’s Top 10 in the 250 class level all day long in SX. Ramette was, Auberson has shown he can be. He’s a serious talent
I think the problem is nobody knows his name in the US, even in the GP his name faded away after being so good a few years ago.
Would love to see the kid get a change in the US, but i think he first need to go privateer route or set something up for his self with own sponsors like Soubeyras is doing this year for the east coast.
Impress some people and get you’re name out there would be the first step into a ride in the US IMO..
He has probably missed the chance of having a good team sign him directly from Europe. He'll have to go there and make a name of himself. But if he does I think he'll surprise some people
Remember watching videos of him as a little kid on a 65 and thinking he had insane skill and style already. Definitely think he can put in some impressive rides, especially if he were to do East Coast. Completely worth the investment on his end to come over and do a few rounds. He can sell the bike and van if he goes back to Europe and it honestly wouldn’t cost that much if you factor in how much it can help his career if he puts in some good rides.
It's little sad he's not on Honda looking at this season of racing. Geico has some injuries, your team has some injuries.

I think that teams just should start talking with him. Because maybe he doesn't ask much.
It doesn't mean there is no risk with Brian Hsu even if he asks for a small wage... The hassle of logistics, insurance, visa & the necessary learning curve for him. It is in my eyes too much to ask right now.
It is like in the middle of poker game spicing things up with a one round of russian roulette. It might work out for you but is it really worth the risk?

Personally I believe hard in Hsu because he showed his supercross skills already a ton of times against international (AMA) top 10 riders. If he can stay on Husqvarna or simular KTM-bike for the East Coast, racing for one of the USA Husqvarna/KTM teams, then it isn't such a big gamble if you ask me.
If he needs to change brands, then it becomes more difficult. In both cases you have off course the paper struggle from Insurance, Visa,... But if he shows up to be a top 10 rider, or even top 5 what I really believe he's capable of doing. He is worth the trouble.

I’ll tell you my position. He’d have to pay for his travel to get here and pay for a place to live here. I could cover travel to races, bikes and a race mechanic. He’d be his own practice mechanic and would have to get his own vehicle when here. That’s what the majority of not factory 250 teams would be able to do for him as fill-in.

Which is not bad. I would imagine that a guy like Hsu could fork up the plane ticket, rent an apartment, buy an old van that he can sell after the season and have a buddy as a practice mechanic.
Or maybe he has had offers like that but isn't interested in doing it?

I'd love to see Hsu come over and give it a shot. I've been following him for a few years now and I think hes capable of making mains. But he hasn't shown anything the last few years that would say hes a top 5 guy.

I already filled my injured slot with someone who’s in the US, has a low two digit number, and is familiar with the brand of bike and our suspension crew.
It’s way too close to the start of East to be taking big swings like going for Hsu. We wouldn’t have the time to properly test or get him acclimated. Basically, it be wasting both our times and look poor on both of us. At least that’s how I view it.
If he really wants to come, it’s going to be up to him making the push with the teams here. And it’s likely going to have to be one of the non-factory 250 teams.

I understand what you say and you're right. That said, i still believe Hsu is a special talent. He has to take the chance to showcase himself, because he could turn a lot of heads. Only thing i fear for him is big whoops. Other than that, he's great.

If someone hurt himself on a KTM/Husqvarna team, Brian should jump on it as a hyena on a sick animal.

and you never know if he even shows up. he burnt a lot of bridges here in europe basically because his dad is an idiot.
he had the chance to go to the us on suzuki but never showed up because they thought the offer is not good enough.

he might be a dope rider but brings way to much drama. maybe it get‘s better the older he get‘s and when he get‘s rid of his dad

Jordan Bailey is signed with Buddy Brook’s team. This is about the 15th time someone has suggested that Bailey is on our team, I’ve literally never even spoken to Jordan once.

There is always a reason... what riders do on track is sometimes never enough for the drama they bring off it.
