Anyone here tried a newer Husky TC510 or TC450 ? Looking at getting one to lug my lard a$$ (6'2" 235lb) around. Only race evo/vintage these days but thought it would be cool to have one to ride with buds and practice on, current play ride is a CR500. Got a line on a sweet '08 TC510 that has had the "little red magic button" (e-start) added which I envy my buds on KTM450SX when its a 105 in the shade here. Was just wondering if anyone had any input or suggestions on them. thanks-ride safe

i rode and tested the '08 husky 450. nice equipment, cool looking but feels more electric then powrful, and can be decieving in the way that the power is delivered. i didnt care for it, and the price tag is a joke. you also want to take into consideraton the availability of parts/local dealers. id take the KTM any day over the husky.

I think they look good at least. Maybe Bubba should ride one. That might make the racing more interesting.....................

I like the husky alot. i had an 07 ktm 450 sxf before my 08 husky 450 i have now, although i have the txc, the tc is pretty comparable. You won't ride a better handling bike then the husky, and the ease of maintance is great, everything on the husky is built with a special purporse to make it a little easier to work on. The power with stock gearing is a little decieving, changing with the gearing is a big help and will make everything with the throttle more predictable. And as for parts, believe me when I say big things are coming for Husky, as long as you have a good dealer that can work with you, your all set. I deal with a shop over 3 hours away from me, and I can need something at 6pm at night and have it to my door by noon the next day no problem. Just search around is all. Good luck!

I saw a supermoto version the other day at a light. Sweet ride.

It was white and red, and looked stock. It was amazingly quiet too. I was shocked. Shortly after, I saw a converted 450 F Honda SM and it was piped and loud as hell.

I guarantee, the quiet bike could speed and get away with alot more shit. That piped 450 was obnoxious.

I think the TXC might be a better choice for you. The bike can adapt well for play riding and also be used well for the track. Unless your going to seriously race the TXC might be the way to go.Probably the easiest bike to check and shim valves on too.

That in SM trim would be good too.
