When I was a kid my grandparents took me to the Los Angeles sports arena to watch wrestling. Back then it was WWF. I haven't watched it in close to 30 years but the Warrior was my favorite as well. So much in fact I got sent home from school cause of my Halloween costume. I dressed as him when I was 7. When I got to school I went to the bathroom. Undressed/dressed in a stall. Wore some green underwear. Painted a six pack on my stomach, painted my face, wore my motorcycle boots cause it was close enough for me and threw a wig on. Used red danger and yellow caution tape as the tassels. The look on my teachers face as I walked in class in my fuckin underwear painted up ready for battle ( at least in my head) . My grandmother picked me up. Her look matched the teachers. My friends still give me shit at least once a year. Funny the things you get excited about as a kid. Especially his entrance music. https://youtu.be/Vqtz1M_TDVU

What was the alternate costume?

What about your favorite tag teams? Mine were The Road Warriors, The Headbangers, Ministry of Darkness, and D-Generation X.

Fuckin Dracula. Every kid was either Dracula or a god dam ninja.
Hawk and Animal of course. LOD.
Jake the Snake was awesome. Always thought his pythons named Damien were cool.😉
Sting back in the WCW days .
But, did you know the Warrior and Sting were a tag team?
The Blade Runners. Lol.

Sting was the Shit! I don't remember Sting and Warrior being tag team partners. Going to have to look that up. Another odd pairing was The Rock and Sock Connection.

The worse of them were: The Mean Street Posse, all the way from the mean streets of Greenwich, Connecticut and Shane-O Mac. Preppy clowns lol.

Back in the 80s they were. Most of what I watched was up to about 88/89. Summer Slam, Wrestle Mania, Saturday Nights Main Event. Definitely memory lane lol.

This is wrestling memory lane for me.

Jose Lothario and Wahoo McDaniel. Black & white TV days, late saturday night on UHF channel. Afterward the station would sign off with the National Anthem and go to the indian head test pattern.

I remember Wahoo McDaniel. It was around the same time I remember watching Bruiser Brodey. A name you may remember was Haystack Calhoun

As far as tag teams go, The British Bulldogs were pretty cool around 85-86ish. I was so pissed, Wrestlemania was live, being shown in certain arenas across the country, and I couldn't wait to see Hogan and Andre go at it. Typical Midwest weather, a strong storm blows up as soon as the show begins. We were all told to leave the arena and head into the storm shelter below, as a tornado had been spotted. Missed the entire thing, as they couldn't get the live feed signal back after the storm had passed. Being when it was, I had to wait to read the USA Today paper at school the next day to see who won everything. Damn I was pissed.........

I think that was Wrestle Mania 3. Hogan vs Andre. My grandfather came home from work with it one day on tape, so we spent a Saturday enjoying it. And.... That was B Brian Blair and Davie Boy Smith 😉

Thank you Sir... I was crushed that night. Dad and Mom even took me to Sonic on the way home to try and cheer me up. Even onion rings wouldn't work...... That was a good era for wrestling in the WWF, didn't get to see NWA much then, our cable provider was rather limited for the times then......

The only one I've heard of from that list is the Iron Sheik. Guessing from the 80's?

Mike Rotunda was also called Irwin R. Schiester (IRS) when he moved to WWF/E. Barry Windham was also called the Widow Maker.

The correct "who dis" guess gets extra 80s bonus points.

Gloria Steinheim, former playmate who turned feminist in her later years.

Miss Elizebeth, manager.

Susan Summers, high school teacher who was the first card girl for then fledgling Ultimate Fighter Association.
