Anyone have a Mercedes Metris van with the clamshell rear door, and getting a full size moto bike in?

My ktm is 52" tall at the throttle housing, on wheels, looks like the Metris is 48" opening.

Remove door molding, or get a start hook...

Thanks,
MV

I have 2 friends with them and love them. One has a KTM and the other a Yamaha. It will also fit in the garage.

Holeshot device and you are golden.

Contemplated getting one myself. Metris not holeshot. Well one would lead to the other. Ha!

I doubt you will have any issue loading the bike with the Metris's rear opening height. The angle of the bike moving up the loading ramp makes the bikes overall height much shorter at that particular section. I have the Ram Promaster City van which has a smaller height than the Mercedes and still do not have that problem

Lots of RAM PMC's popping up in my area. Sweet little rigs - I saw a kid with 3 bikes in the back of his PMC last week.

Here are some pictures:

A bit tight for 3 full size bikes, but doable.

Much better choice for carrying 2 bikes

love my "silver streak" PMC! Bikes roll right in. As a bonus, the thing is great in the snow here in MN. Comfy seats too.

In the UK they're called the Vito. I have a swab one, its great for hauling bikes around and never once have I found a bike Ive had to lower the front end on to fit it in.
