Hey so I’m thinking of doing my forks myself , off a 2011 sx125 as one is leaking. Any tips before I tackle them? Are they difficult? Also should I just get the seals and oil or bushings/ other parts aswell? Any special tools? Thanks

A 2011 sx has closed chamber forks in the USA. A little tricky to bleed the closed chamber but plenty of videos out there to explain how.

Oh right. I was thinking the 4CS was WPs first attempt at closed cartridge, never knew they had that stuff on their SX models.

Not that difficult, just watch those how-to videos a few times. I do think you will need a seal driver tool. It just makes
that part of the job so much easier!

Main tip is that it is kinda hard getting around it being a bit messy of a job. Have plenty of CLEAN old rags handy. Also, I use a cheap cement mixing try underneath, and then a sheet of old cardboard underneath that, as the oil tends to go all over the place when pulling them apart.

Thanks a lot, would you think bushings are an essential change or not normally?

Bushings can be replaced upon inspection. Seals, however, always get replaced.

I change bushings at 60-70 hours. Recommend the SKF seals and bushings. Your shop can order thru WPS.
