Traditionally a rider will take a portion out of his salary to pay for a trainer in order to be competitive.
In the case of Aldon, where he's basically contracted by KTM and Husky, does his training come out of a team budget and the riders don't need to spend a cent on the training?
Are the rider salaries somehow reduced when their manufacturer sponsor takes into account the training program and deduct that from the total wage?
Interested in how it works if anyone knows. Plus it's the off-season and boring as batshit.

The riders are "Contracted" to the factories and will be obligated to the grind of Baker's Factory.
Maybe I'm wrong....
Maybe KTM put a deal across- "you'll get paid $xxxxx if you choose to use the Baker services/facilities"
"Or we'll pay you $xx(more)xxxx if you do your own thing"

Ktm said to aldon: we will give you guarunteed “x” amount of money every year for you to exclusively work with our guys and in exchange you will give our riders a huge discount on training and in addition youll train the majority of the ktm team rather than 2/3 guys to make up for the lower cost per rider.
So aldon is training more guys but also making more than he did with rv/kenny/AC. While the entire KTM squad is benefiting from lower costs for a trainer and lets be honest the extra cost from KTM is paying off in titles the last few years.
As I understand it KTM/Husky give the riders the option and Aldon chooses the guys for his program and Aldon is paid by both KTM/Husky and the rider. For those riders that are not in the Aldon program like Deano can ride at the facility with the 250 guys on their tracks.
I believe that the 250 program is 100% paid by KTM/Husky and is not optional (anymore...think Covington) but the riders don't have to spend all their time at The Bakers Factory. The 250 guys will be trained by Seth Rarrick and Mike Brown.
