Sending direct messages here seems to be jacked up.
Is this an ongoing thing or what's the dealio?

Yes, I see it is brought up in site-related, but no responses. Bueeeeler?

I just sent a couple the other day. Seems to be working fine. Though I wish you didn’t have to prove you “aren’t a robot” every time you sent a message.

Works fine for me as well (sending and receiving).

Check you junk/spam folder. Sometimes the messages end up there.

Might sound stupid but make sure you're checking the inbox/junk folder of the email you signed up with.

If you're not sure or don't remember what email you signed up with:

-Top left corner, click the menu
-Select Profile Manager
-Click Modify My Personal Information

The email you signed up with will be there. You can change it if you want. Just make sure to click update at the bottom of the page if you do change it.

I'm on a Samsung as well. Some members remove the option to send messages so if you click on their profile the "Send Me a Message" option doesn't appear.

You enabled it so people can send you messages. It's the default setting.

Maverick!!! Great idea and sure enough, I had an old email address there! Thank you!!!

However . . . .it still is not allowing me to send a DM. The verification will expire
and the message still is not sent.

I do want to thank you, however, for the great input.

Type your message first and once you're done, click I'm not a robot, click the images they ask you to click, once the verification process is done click send.

Should work.

Once the message is sent, I do believe the text box just returns to empty/clear so it appears like nothing went through.

Either that or after you click send, there's a message a the top of the box that says "Message Sent."

Yeah, no idea either. I've rummaged through so many places on this site and no clue where they are. I've only received a few, I get an email notification, then go back later on the site and they're nowhere to be found.

Note: If someone sent me a dm, but did not get a reply I apologize.

They go to your email inbox. The one you signed up with. To reply click, Respond located under the text. A new Vital page will open, type your message and click send.

You can also click reply directly from your email inbox (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) But if you want to keep your email private don't click reply. Instead use Respond under the message you received.

Ah, so deleting the email no longer gives you access? Seems antiquated if that's the case. There should be somewhere within your profile to send/receive them imo.

That's correct. If you delete the email you no longer can reply to the messages you received.

A Vital MX inbox in your profile would be great but it's not really needed.

More strangeness, but a solution. I turned off ad blocker on my desktop computer and still could not send a message.

However, I just tried to send a message from my mobile and it worked fine. What do you know?

Direct Messages go to your email inbox (the one you signed up with).

If you don't remember/aren't sure which email you used to sign up do the following:

-Click the menu in the top left corner
-Select Profile Manager
-Click Modify Personal Information

The email you signed up with will be listed. You can update it as well.
