Getting a bike ready for outdoors, 'just in case.'

I noticed that one a few minutes ago too...

I want to see him out there, but I totally understand wanting to take a break from it.

Maybe it's a part of the marketing plan. Say he's not doing them, let people get riled up(lose fans), then do them(gain even more fans) plus the MXdN (gain even more fans worlwide).

Maybe that's the Hollywood part of me talking...

Take a break?

How many years has he finished both series without taking a break in the middle?

Yeah, take a break. Who am I to judge? I'd guess he's been traveling and beating the heck out of his body for well over a decade. It's the free enterprise system at work. If he's one of the best in the world at what he does and can largely write his own ticket then I say reap the benefits of it. He's earned it. RC earned it. Chad's earned. KW's earned. Many of them have earned it.

Sure, i wanna see him on the line at GH, but again, I understand if he's chillin' with his fiance in the Bahamas instead...or wherever rich people go. He doesn't owe me anything.

I agree, it is funny how he gets a pass on it with most people and Chad was thrown under the bus and called every name in the book when he didn't ride outdoors.......

This after Chad made how many straight starts in SX and missed very few MX races?

Especially compared to the amount of races James has missed......

Chad wasn't called any names by me. I feel exactly the same way about him. I REALLY want to see him on the line, but I understand. SX is where the money and exposure is and what they do is SO risky. So if it's twice the work and travel for relatively little financial benefit for their business - why do it? That said, I hope they both line up for some of them at least.

I was there when Chad came "off the couch" and finished third at Budd's - that guy's a warrior in my book - SX only or not.

I could be wrong, but I don't think James missed any races that he didn't have to miss due to injury. That guy has done his share of "risking it all" for himself, his sponsors and the fans.

I agree 100%

The point of my original post was to say RC and Reed weren't on the sidelines as much as JS has been. Thus, JS has had a lot of breaks over his pro career that the other two haven't. You could also put KW in that group of guys that don't miss many races.

I gotcha. I think no matter who does what there will plenty of exciting stuff happening in MX this season. MA vs. RV should be wild.

I think any of the Pro riders should be able to take whatever series they want off without be criticized for it.

I wonder if that means GH or just a few races as he previously said he was gonna do?

Would be cool to see him at GH and watch the MA, RV,JBS showdown.

I think the races he previously said he was going to do were canceled - The South African GP and, I think, a GP in South America. Not sure though.

I agree with you 100%.. I just don't understand it personally. To work so hard to get to certain level, devote your whole life, and often your family's whole life too, and just sit it out. It's not like these guys have that many years at the top to play with.

I think I would win everything I could, while I could, but, I'm not in that position so what do I know?

Not only that but imagine the millions he's losing from not racing, with the relative ease with which he could win the championship.

What a waste of natural abilities don't ya think?

When did this SX bullshit start again? Wasn't it with MC? MC never went 24-0 and probably never could have, just wasn't an outdoor guy.

When did LB start managing MC? hmm... and CR... and now JS.

Seems to be a pattern here...

Its no about money on james side. Its about money on yamaha side. How many times does he have to tell you the same story. It hasn't change once unlike chad reed. I heard from 1 of the suzuki guys that chad is for not riding outdoor.

I would bet he would just love to race that track this race. It really looks good.
