Anybody ever try these? They look great for gripping the bike...

Going to bring this topic back up to see if the opinions are still with the Fly 5's or Leatt Dual Axis. I want and need a new set and I'm pretty much down to these 2.

As for the guard vs. brace debate. I don't do braces because I'd rather do a knee(painful and lengthy recovery) than a femur(Possibly deadly). I know the chances of the latter are less, but not willing to make that bet.

I'm in the same boat and can't decide between The Fly's or the Leatte. I wish I could try them on somewhere. My biggest issue is wanting good coverage on the inside part of my knees where they contact the bike. I've always got bruises after I ride.

When i used shin/knee guards I also taped a football thigh pad to the top of it so it would lay over top of my knee and lower thigh.

Kept the bars from digging in.

Leatt 3DF 6.0 knee guards.

I love em, very comfortable and don't move once in place.

I like the Oneal Pumpgun knee guards. They have a pivoting hinge and are designed to left and right fitment. They are not knee brace level protection but are a huge help for bruising.
