I wonder how the twins Keith and Karl (TNT_Gravy and X_Budderbean) are doing? I loved those dudes! I remember playing "G-Out" with Gravy for like 12 hours straight.

Looking at some old pics makes me want to race it again and I miss the creativity of building tracks putting my heart and soul into getting a track to work the way I wanted with the physics, thinking about setting up a older PC with Win XP for it.
Michael, TMD MickyD, HaB Reedy103.
Still cool to see so many familiar names checking in from this old community.
Back to the nostalgia of MCM2...I had to check myself and remember it wasnt all great memories for me. When MCM2 came out, I was 10/11 years old and we had out first desktop computer which was a Compaq Presario with Windows ME (piece of garbage). We also only had 56k dialup at the time (lol). I remember my parents screaming at me because the phone wouldnt work when I was downloading tracks for hours. Or, Id be screaming because I got disconnected from a race. So, the nostalgia is real, but the struggle was real as well. I wish I could have had a better set up but I still found a way to enjoy it.
Dude, i still have my XP machine that has MCM and all my games installed on it. When i built a new machine i just unplugged that one and set it aside for safe keeping. It is quite a time capsule, need to fire it up again.
I was DIZ_No_Rebase. I worked SO hard to learn how to make a custom track! I leaned on the community and Twisted Dirt site a TON. I wanted to bring out my creativity and ideas in my head for others to see and enjoy. I must have made 20 tracks before I felt like I had one good enough to upload. When I finally did, at about 3am in the morning with nerves on high, I woke about 4 hours later to find it had been downloaded about 500 times already. Comments were mostly positive and asked for more; So I continued. I still remember reading my first hate. I believe it was by Green but it read,"Boring, just like all the others you make." Wow, that stung. It taught me how to accept input that you would rather not hear and grow/learn from it. So many great memories! You were my family.
Well, I created no more than about 11 tracks, became a recognized creator, teamed with a few friends, and had an idea to make a 'track pack'. Working with another MCM player, I planned to make a track series while he would make custom skins to burn on a disk and sell for a few bucks. Trying to make sure I wouldn't get sued, I tried to contact RBW_Dobbo on the forums.
He PM'd me before I could reach him! Told me he loved my stuff and that I should come to the studio. Only then did I even find out that the studio was in Arizona less than 10 miles from me. I met with Dobbo the very next day, accepted a job offer the next week, and began my journey with Rainbow Studios. I have helped make the worlds, the tracks, the AI... the experience that you have loved/hated from then until now! I really miss you guys!!
Sorry for the book but I am just excited! I have checked out from posting on most all forums and just read now. I feel the need to absorb others opinions and feel no need to try and explain our intentions. I long for a user experience that will give players that same feeling I had... that YOU had... the experience that I read in your posts. I will continue to help create something that will bring you back to that moment whether you still ride, are not able to, or want to share that experience with your kids or a friend.
Thanks for the moment! Back to work for me! Hmmmmm... what should I make now!? *feeling inspired*

I hated that name even if it was made as a joke.. had to stick with it!!
Been a vital lurker since the beginning. Figured after all the mcm2 and other mx game posts id finally reply!
Couldn't resist this time with all the big names from both racing and track creating. Good to see everyone!
Still Play mcm2 a bunch on a modern pc with a few hacks (not a hackbike lol) to add.. now MES2 (offline)
Whats everyone playing now whether be old or new? (PC)
Love to get in on some private racing with some old names..
WFO Tracks for life AUS_Twisted!!
ocscottie.. wanna race some tight supercross tracks?
So how do you get it to run on modem PC's? I have not played a PC game in i dont know how long, did get really into MadskillsMX 2, but sorta burned out on that.
Pit Row
If you search msconfig > boot > advanced options and set maximum memory to 2048 it should run.
You also may need to run compatibility mode for Windows XP or lower.
Make sure you reset the memory back when your not using it or your PC will slow considerably.

Hi guys , VRT_JPRLisbon_ here ...
https://http://mdxracing.com
Then MCM2 came out. And for some reason I was never as fast as I was in 1. But I still pulled hours in front of a monitor and in the Zone. damn fine times that I wish I could relive, to some degree.
Never played any other games other than MCM & a couple titles after. They just didn't have the same feel.
Sure was some fun times. I think I will see if I can get 2 to run on my 10 machine. If not I might haul out a XP rig just for old times sake...

Crazy that nearly 10 years later, it basically happened the same for me except you were the one managing (well at least 3 days after I started haha) along with Mike and Bobby teaching me to not suck at creating.
I was a noob at MCM2 and got taught by someone on the replica Plano Honda team which worked perfect because I was the biggest Ivan Tedesco fan. From there I just didn't quit as a punk teen who refused to not be able to build what I invisioned in my head. I still never IMO reached the levels of Twisted, Green, and MotoX I believe were the insane creators who made my favorites. Even on a keyboard I strived to "WHIP" clear the gaps which if I could made me hella fast staying low.
Racing wasn't ever my thing, always got into games for creating. I still remember when I won my first MCM Factory (Ithink was site) "track of the week" but it was someone who ripped my track and skinned it lol. I still claim it.
Once MVA Unleashed dropped on PC, well that's when I finally found my spot to build something other than triangle jumps and found the opportunity of a lifetime.
A decision at (12-ish) ended up honestly shaping my life to current into my 30's where I am now.
Great to see so many MCM2 vets coming out! Would be cool if we could try to mimic a tournament event with MES2 or 3 like we did back in the day. I only race with guys I know, racing the general public absolutely sucks.
Played GameRanger for a spell. Switched ISP's and never did get to launch. So sad...
Anywhoo, I did get MCM2 on my 10 machine. Had to do some voodoo stuff, but I did get it to play. Spent the next night unzipping 1500+ nats & SX. I still have more to go.
Played a few nats. Let me tell you, I ought to be in the "D" class. I am not even good enough for the "C" class! LOL My biggest problem is learning the tracks all over again. At 59 my memory retention is not what it used to be. Same for my joystick inputs. It sux getting old & feeble! LOL
Did log into Game Ranger, of course nobody home in MCM2's house. I would like to try to launch again, since I nave new equipment. Have my fingers crossed!
