Was prepared to speak with my wallet yesterday until I saw the picture of the rear mudguards, not good. Not good at all.

I've seen this kit in person, a lot, and have it on my own bike. The rear fender does not stick up like that on any of the bikes I've seen.
I have however, seen it look like that on a bike that was clapped out with a tweaked sub frame.
I can't prove it, but I'm pretty sure it only sticks up like a ski ramp on bikes that are beat up and are tweaked someway or another.

I agree. It looks good on most bikes, but not so good on a few. I'd definitely find a way to tweak it if I bought the kit and it was pointing to the sky. Other than that, I think they look fantastic.

Appreciate you took the time to respond pal, thanks.

Looking at many of the images in this thread they do look to be at a higher than normal angle, a lot of the time the rear wheels are off the ground but still, check the image of the bikes on the start line and it's very obvious. Don't want to spend the money on the kit and then have to start messing around to get it lowered.

Something is different on that bike (pictured on the start line) Notice how the whole back end of the bike is higher than the rest (rear wheel/seat) It's sitting up on something and that exaggerates the angle of the fender...I agree tho - they are a bit high. Nothing that 5 minutes with a heat gun couldn't cure tho...

Back wheel is on the ground! I don’t feel after paying out this money that a heat gun should be required, the 125s look even higher for some reason.

It's not required, nor is purchasing it.

I agree with you about the heat gun. If I'm buying something like this I shouldn't have to fix it before I put it on.
If you want to see what kind of angle you can expect on a non-clapped out rm, just look at how the rear fender sits on the new rmz styling. It sits the exact same as far as I've seen.
Some like it, some don't. If you like that angle and look, buy it. If you don't, then stick with the stock plastics. Either way the bike will look great! 😁

Really? Well I happen to have the kit on my bike too, i'm the one in the start line photo. I can guarantee you right now that my bike is not "clapped out" like you claim (who even assumes that about someone else's bike?) the subframe is straight and true and the previous fender sat at the normal angle. I didn't think the rear fender stuck up too much either when I first put the kit on, but it wasn't till I saw it next to the other bikes that I realised how bad it was.

That's me in the photo. It's not sitting up on anything, it's probably just the distance away from the gate everyone is that would make the bike look bigger or smaller. Also different suspension settings.

Meant no offense to you. I've only seen the fender stick up that high on two of the other rm's I've seen, and they were most definitely beat to hell and clapped out.
Something I noticed in your picture though, are you sitting really far forward? Comparatively, it seems like I can maybe see a little bit more of your seat. With that said, looks like my theory has proven false, so I'll put my foot in mouth there.
Do you have a picture of your bike off the stand? Curious to see how it's angles look.

I saw a kit in person last weekend. The radiator shrouds were raised beyond the tank where they would probably mess up my knee guards. Is that normal, or was the guys bike tweaked?

You can always just use bits and pieces from the kit? I used the restyled sideplates with an oem rear fender and was pretty happy with how it turned out. (*Bike is still unfinished but this just shows another option)

I like this idea. I may go with everything from new kit, but with the old rear fender.

Have you put a heat gun to the rear fender to bring it down a bit?

The top, rear section where your knee would slide from the tank to the radiator shroud. It was raised up. The restyled shroud look like it didn't fit right. It was raised up and ready to snag a guys knee protection. Is that normal with this kit, or was the bike I saw tweaked/ bent up.

Here's what it looks like on my bike, is that what you are talking about?

If so, i'm pretty sure that's normal, every kit i've seen is like that. It looks like it has warped but that's how it was when bolted up Sad

Glad I didn't buy one then.

Yeah, honestly, there are serious improvements that need to be made. I think polisport should have fixed these issues before making the kit available to the public.

That's exactly what I was talking about, and saw in person. I'll keep my stock plastics. I'm tall, and my knee protection would get moved out of place from that.
I'll rank that kit with spoke skins, and black rims that actually had tire changes. Yuck. They should revise that once the molds are paid for.

I'm seriously considering throwing the old side plates and rear guard back on. I think that would be a sweet look.

Don´t dislike mines. You can cut the bottom to make it look more updated..
