I know, you've made that point before. What I no longer do is let it upset me. I used to get seriously pissed, but now I just let it go. Not worth the energy.

I spent most of yesterday on this site. If you haven't checked it out you're missing out.
Really cool, Void. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. That's going into my bookmarks for sure. How anybody can watch that stuff and still be a hoaxer is beyond my capability to understand, but as I said, I don't get angry over it, and really don't care what the deniers think about it. Let them believe it if it makes their world seem more manageable.

I would put it right up there with the building of the pyramids and the harnessing of the atom.

Now that you mention it it's way above the pyramids. I mean the only reason they built the pyramids was they were trying to get to the Moon. They fell woefully short.

I was just talking about that today with a friend. The pyramids were built “up” and that’s as far up as they could go. The tallest is 455 feet if I’m correct. The distance from earth to moon is about 239,000 miles. MILES. Or approximately 1.26 billion feet.

That’s about a 276,923,000% increase in distance. If my rough math is correct. Which it’s probably not. But that gives an idea of the scale.

But what if somebody from another rock came here built the pyramids then went back to their rock? Wouldn't that make the pyramids far above our moonshot?

Not saying i believe that or anything, but some do.

Oh boy---- don't start THAT again, lol. Although with all the new evidence , I've shifted 50% of my beliefs towards a much earlier advanced civilization rather than just ET intervention

Other than that ----Happy 50th Anniversary to everyone at NASA and all the subcontractors that made history !!!!!!
Hope we get back there soon !!

We could what if all day long....

What if giant robotic babies with the help from a teamster union from a planet far far away traveled here on interstellar tricycles. Built the pyramids as some sort of crude day care toy. Then left to go back home.

That too would be amazing!

A certain fact we know is we traveled to the moon and came back. No fanciful story needed there. It’s amazing all on its own. And humans did it.

Just like humans more then likely also built the pyramids. Which is also amazing all on its own.

An amazing feat no-doubt some of the stuff they had to come up with boggles the mind.

They are also showing on Facebook a live feed of the 50th anniversary, ABC News.

They salvaged the control room, computers, tables, seats, wallpaper, carpet even ashtrays and restored it into a historical site.
They just interviewed a couple dudes one was the Flight Commander, can't imagine the pressure and stress those guys went through.

The real control room is still active and will be used for SLS launches coming soon. They moved all the old Saturn-era consoles and stuff out of it and into the Saturn V Center at KSC Park. It's all part of a video and amusement park-like display that follows the launch of Apollo 8 from +3:00 down to the rocket clearing the tower. The entire room rumbles and shakes. Really all of the KSC Visitor Complex is worth your time and by far the cheapest attraction in the Orlando area.

Fake. Totally fake. Stanley Kubrick is just a few feet behind the photographer.

Void, you notice in that picture - especially the bottom one - you can see that contact probe bent up under and to the outside of the landing strut.

Ole Harry Backmon, seen some conspiracy vid about Stanley making the moon landing, then dying after making “eyes wide shut”

I find it all funny, but anyway hope all is well

UT, just to be clear, I am 100% positive Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17 landed United States astronauts on the Earth's moon.

I kinda dont understand the quarantine protocol they used back then. If they were indeed concerned about pathogens coming from outside our atmosphere and putting the astronauts in lockdown for a period of time, why did they vent that capsule to open atmosphere and haul them guys up in the wide open like that. If there indeed was some interstellar bug that could potentially wipe out homo sapien, they most certainly let it out when they popped the lid on that plasma-hermetically sealed capsule.

I assume they were most concerned about direct contact. I'm not sure how much more they could have done.

Sadly, the SH-3D Sea King helicopter pictured, buno 152711, crashed off Imperial Beach, California back in 1975. 3 crew rescued, 1 crewman lost.

More they could do? It would be simple. The outside of that capsule was fried to a cinder by plasma on re-entry. While a person shouldnt use the word, never, I will qualify and say I doubt anything organic could survive on the surface of that capsule as it fried its way to terra firma at about Mach-25 To me its a safe bet that the exterior of that landing capsule went thru the autoclave.

All they had to do is pluck that capsule from the water by a ship crane, (Jacque Cousteau did it all the time on Calypso) and then set the whole thing into a quarantine setup, like they inevitably do anyway with the astronauts. Just dont pop the capsule hatch until the whole thing was in the sealed chamber. Keeping in mind the size & scale of those Apollo rockets, launchpads, hangar facilities and all, its not a big stretch they could have a room big enough to drop that entire capsule into, shut a door, then let the Buzz, Neil and Collins out at that point.

The way they did it, not really knowing what could be out there, IMHO, was irresponsible. At least on the first trip and they could assess any potential problems. Just ask the Native Americans how it went over with Smallpox etc, and all the crap the Euros brought over. Our atmosphere truly is a protective barrier.
