Hi Guys,

I crashed a few weeks back at my local MX track where I accidentally cased a big jumped and flipped over the bike at high speed. The impact was mostly absorbed by the rear wheel and suspension. The bike hit and slid on the right side with the front wheel skidding away until fully stopped. I added a photo taken from my GoPro footage while I was rolling on the ground. The bike didn't flip... just slid.

My handlebar mounts are bent and the right side of the radiator is a little twisted. I managed to ride back to my truck in pain but I immediately noticed that something was wrong on the bike... like I was riding on a bunch of little bumps. I thought the front fork was bent or something pretty bad happened. I took it to my dealer a few days back and they ran a wreck check. Surprisingly, they didn't mention the bumpy feel you get while rolling the bike (vibration on the handlebars and you can literally see the whole bike going up and down quickly like something is not even somewhere). They blamed the tires and said that's how it feels like when rolling the bike on a concret driveway. I never noticed that ever... it started right after the crash and the bike is almost new with just a few hours on it... They did not want to listen to what I had to say.

I'm stuck... I don't know what to look for. both bearings front and back are fine, the rear wheel is fine, I readjusted the chain tension, spokes, tire pressure, I don't see any irregularity on both tires. The only thing I can notice is that the front wheel is a little bent. Is it enough to cause that much vibrations on the bike? Again, this is not only while riding you can really feel the vibrations on the handlebars while pushing the bike like I'm going over a bunch of little bumps. Any thoughts?

Check your wheels for running true and high or low spots. It will cause strange feelings if not correct.

Wheels are the first place id look. Bent rim, loose spokes, out of true, messed up hub or wheel bearings etc.. check your rotors too. Something on your wheels/brakes were damaged.

If you have a friend with a KTM or Husky see if they will let you swap out wheels then forks then your wheels his forks etc. until you eliminate. Did you hit your chain guide by any chance? Remove the chain and see if the bump feel changes.

How in the world did you crash on that jump? That's Murphy's night track right? The the step table top thing by where you get on the track?

Anyways I noticed the KTM's are pretty sensitive with the AER forks being lined up correctly and will transfer a lot more vibration if out of wack on a bind. Loosen the pinch bolts on the forks and triple clamps and recenter everything by tightening the upper bolts on one side of the triple clamps then spin the front wheel and lock it up a few times. Keep holding the brake and tighten the rest of the bolts up.
