I went riding a few weeks back and noticed that gas was leaking from the fuel inlet on the carburetor so I ordered a carburetor rebuild kit and rebuilt it. However, since I have put the carburetor back in the bike, it will not start. I have checked to see if fuel was reaching the carburetor and it is. I have also checked for spark and everything seems fine there. I also sprayed some starting fluid in the air box and attempted to start it but i had no luck. Before I rebuilt the carburetor the bike was running completely fine with no issues starting up. Not sure where to go from this point.

Did you bend anything on the float? If you unscrew the bowl drain, does fuel come out?

If it does, turn the fuel off to the carb. Keep trying to start it, if it eventually fire and goes for a little then dies- your float is fouled up. Flooding the engine.

Any smoke from the silencer/exhaust? Color?

Did you adjust the fuel screw? If set incorrectly it will be very hard to start.
If the float needle valve is not opening then it will not get fuel and thus will not start.
Is your spark a good bright Blue or is it Orange or white?
What parts did you replace in the carb?

I was careful when I removed the float so I dont think I bent it. I unscrewed the drain bolt on the float and gas did come out so I tried to start but still had no luck. I also didnt notice any smoke coming from the exhaust.

I set the fuel screw 1 turn out as that was what the service manual advised. When i checked the spark it was blue. As for the parts I replaced, it was just a few o-rings, the float valve needle, the fuel screw, and the needle. I made sure to place the clip on the needle in the same position that the service manual said to.

1 turn out for the fuel screw would make it too lean IMO. Try 2 turns out. Did you get the parts in the correct order on the fuel screw? If not it will not seal and also cause a very lean condition.
Screw
spring over screw
washer on the screw
oring
Check your float height setting.

Maybe fuel has not filled up the AP-diaphragm chamber yet. Raise the subframe up and twist the throttle to see if the AP jet is squirting.

After a bit of reading I did I realized that when I pulled the carburetor from the engine I was supposed to disconnect the tps plug instead of removing the tps directly from the carburetor which is what i did. So, I disconnected the tps plug and then kicked over the bike and it started up very easily. So now i just have to adjust the tps sensor on the carb to get it running again.
