WP 4CS to KYB SSS conversion.

Easiest and cheapest way to go about this? If I deflect off one more rock with these forks I may die.

Technical touch? any idea how much that costs? Can I just put some KYB forks on With spacers?

There is a cheap solution to fix these forks. Call Dave @ Smartperformance. Put his del taco kit in them.. you can get them to work well with little money.

Heard of long layover times with Dave in Cali. Corey at protune appears to do the full kyb swap for 800$. the Sphere kit is like 1500 i believe before install. I have the Kybs on a 2014 wr450 weighs 50lbs more than my Ktm and its like riding on pillows. Ive lost my confidence with these Pos. At this point instead of a revalve id rather go with kyb that is available everywhere and easily customized/ serviced. Yea I mostly ride trails but occasionally an mx track with some mid size jumps and theres a large jump on my favorite trail system. I like the adjustability of the Kyb also

The right tuner can make the 4CS as good as anything in the woods....

Not an SSS conversion but look into MX Tech's lucky system. They are cartridge inserts with upgraded components. I am very happy with how these forks handle everything now. Huck valves eliminate bottoming and the hold up is awesome. 950 for the kit and you can do it yourself.

Just buy the kit from David J... intal it yourself. Very simple to do. And look at Dave J's deltaco stuff... then Kreft's. Kinda looks like the same. I just did one.... I lighten up the valving a bit but it works well. Very happy with it.

The MX Tech lucky cartridges are a great alternative to the KYB transplant. Again, simple to do.

I suggest you choose among the above suggestions depending on your skill level, speed and application.

Working on some KYB 48mm AOS or SSS type forks and AER or 4CS forks from WP side by side on the bench you'd see there is no way any of these WP forks can do what the KYB or Showa 49mm spring forks can do.

In my opinion only the faster guys on a motcross track, or the guys who ride a wide variety of terrain off-road will notice the difference.

If you're looking for a fork that can do everything from tight rocky single track to wide open sand whoops, it's hard to do all of that with a single function fork (one spring leg, one damping leg).

The same is true of single function forks on motocross tracks for the faster guys (A and B class guys).

For my money, I'd go with the full KYB spring/cartridge conversion.
