Jacobi punching Adam Sterry

Edited Date/Time 6/27/2019 12:18pm
After a very aggressive pass on his team mate resulting in Sterry going down, Jacobi then preceded to punch Sterry after the race when Sterry confronted him.

Thoughts? Do you think he'll get penalised by the team?

MX2 riders in Europe for F&H Kawasaki. Jacobi was Roczen's team mate at MXON. Both fantastic riders regularly inside the Top 10, Jacobi usually up front.

For some reason I figured that was from the WW ranch yesterday.

That's my bad, I should've mentioned it was in Germany!

Can you show the video of Jacobi taking Sterry out,I watched the race yesterday and thought it was a proper jerk off move but wouldn’t mind hearing other people’s take on it

Yeah it looked like he purposely drifted wide and took Sterrys front wheel out on a straightaway at speed. Mega dick move.

Look at the head movement after the turn. Jacobi is squaring him up, that was 100% intentional.

They live in the same apartment apparently, bet that's fun.

Jacobi has upped to his game this year and has an awesome style to watch, shame he disengaged his brain at the end of that moto.

Jacobi was 3rd in moto one and wanted to be on the podium for his home gp, he crashed all by himself for 6th place I think then took his team mate out and ended up 5th overall lol.

Mine german isn't that good but I think he said on ZDF that a teammate must make room when they see that he's faster! Like he goes out the way for Sterry or Van de Moosdijk when they are faster. Dipshit shows his real colors. And then the team tries to clean all this up with one of the most pathetic PR-posts I ever seen. The team posted that and now I can't find it anymore but Jacobi reposted the identical post on Instagram but on FB he clearly don't care about what he did.

First of all I have to apologize for my behavior after the finish line in moto2!!! Whether it was frustration, or whatever, as a professional athlete and role model for young and upcoming kids I should never behave like this no matter how much frustrated or provoked I feel!!! I am beyond sorry for this. Other than that, solid day 3-9 for 5th overall! @shotbybavo

Jacobi's home GP, and with Nagl out of MXGP class , it was all on him to perform , and he choked, after a good start to the season where he was a threat, he has just gone off the boil, and Sunday he should have beaten Vialle based on past results, and at least have backed up his decent first moto, to get on the box, but he panicked, crashed, then wiped out his team mate ona fucking straight, for no reason... not smart when you are aged out of the class and need a 450 ride. Its a little reminiscent of Guillod when he broke through in MX2, got an MXGP ride in the bag, and then fuck all with either once the ink had dried.

Yeah he says in the interview something along the lines off: i passed him twice, he repassed me and i got irritated and made an unsportive move. But lets be clear i was 2 seconds a lap faster. And tomorrow we will al have forgotten this.

With Nagl at the end of his career, not that many alternative good german riders and Jacobi having the speed for 3rd overall in points in mx2 (just to much a hothead) i think we will see him in mxgp next year.

This was a divkmove on track and even worse after the race, but i like watching henry race, he brings excitement to the race

Oh people sharing apartments can share sometimes, something more Tongue Laughing Do we need to look for a explanation beside the track? Like we saw Herlings, take out Tonus in the Grand Prix of France because Arnaud protected his sis after JH and her got into a romantic fight.

I have followed him from back in EMX, we spend a lot of time in Germany so get to hear who is doing what, he only really became a full Pro when he picked up the F&H ride, and i was hoping he would calm down and be a challenger to Prado , which early season looked a possibility, if not for wins, at least to rough him up a little.. But he seems to have lost his way , a few offs. a DNF in Latvia and a sub par home GP... not what he needs. I could see him at BOS on a 450, but not a factory team, no matter how cheap he is.

I felt for Nagl, he lost his shot at the title here a few years ago, and apart from flashes of his old form , injuries have robbed him of too many races.

If Jacobi was 2 seconds a lap faster, why did he need to pass Sterry twice? He should have gapped him by 2 seconds a lap after the first pass. Pretty lame excuse to me.

Well, that instance in time reflected poorly on Jacobi. Does he have a general reputation as a punk?

Cooper Webb actually sent Sterry an IG message in support, presumably for not retaliating.

"Don't know you personally but much respect to you for taking the higher road man. Not easy to do!"

Unacceptable, ban him for life.
No I say put him on provisional suspension. If tries to find out the status of his case, ignore him, ignore all efforts at any formal adjudication process. Have him wait. If he tries to race in Canada during his suspension, then you can pretty much ban him for life. After he gets let go from his team and is going absolutely berserk trying to find out what is going on with his case (at least a year or more into the "provisional suspension" and many many thousands of Euros in legal fees), maybe you can give him some ridiculous punishment....like oh I don't know.....a 24 months suspension. The key is to keep him in the dark as along as possible. Isn't that the way the FIM does it?
