What about the volts method?

Anodizing is more controlled than torch oxidizing for sure, but it’s still effectively an oxidize process. Anodizing “grows” equally from the surface both inward and outward evenly, whereas oxidation grows inward only. I don’t know. Pegs like handle bars are scary to mess with too much. I would say electro-plating would be the safest, but plating Ti isn’t easy so you won’t find many places that will do it. Plus, once plated, it’s going to look silver (nickel) anyway. Maybe not worth it?
Yeah, not worth it. I just wanted to give it a bit more color accents of purple and blue since it doesn't have much.
But if it can damage the material I won't risk it.

Oxidizing pipes is safe though, right?

Kawi noob here again. I swapped to the double bearing lower chain roller before riding the bike. Never had one of these “saw-tooth” rollers before. What’s the wear limit on these; when thru the “tooth” on the roller or???
I run mine to where the chain starts hitting the part where the “tooth” begins.

Pipes get pretty heat cycled as it is and, most importantly, they’re not a highly stressed/critical part like pegs, bars, bar mounts, etc.

Fmf isn't rubber mounted right? I remember them saying theirs won't break like the others haha.

My FMF is a solid mount, with the bracket.

Wonder if Kawi will revise the subframe on the 2020s....

I’m gonna try and sandwich a thin rubber washer in between the fmf brace and subframe mount. Maybe that may help to reduce some of the vibration. The brace did keep the muffler mounted and it didn’t fall and ruin the carbon cap or anything so that’s a plus

Good thing it was caught before total destruction, like you said!

Even though PC went rubber mounted, I didn’t trust it, and had the local fab shop reinforce.

Anyone running radiator braces? I went down in a sand section and my radiator bent like butter, seemed odd just how easily it happened.

I run the works connection braces. I went down pretty good on the left side in a fast corner and had no issue with the radiator. And they look good too

Yeah I have works connection but I bent mine a day or two before they showed up. ICW fixed and braced mine so I have double bracing.

It was a pdf in this tread. I checked it but cant find the front sprocket torque. I thin it was around 70 nm on Previous models.

50 hours on mine and still starts in a second. Even in winter when i did not start it for about 1 and a half months ( did not even charge the battery) it fired right up. I would say that the Kawi has the best electric starter of all motocross bikes, or maybe i just got lucky on mine Wink
Problem sorted! 20hr mark and battery was dead, replaced with new as the old one dropped a cell as such, new one dead with 20minutes, ended up taking bike back to dealer and they pulled it apart, magnets inside the starter fell of and jammed inside causing it too lock solid, pretty much desribes why brand new battery last minutes, all in all kawi australia warrentyd the starter and new battery and labour for shop to fix!

I got my ride engineering link yesterday after almost 2 months wait.

Rode 30 min then in to the pit and changed link. Rode 2 more sessions. It perform as they said. rear suspension feels much better, easier to turn in and much improved over braking bumps.
Im very pleased with it 👍

I added the Xtrig PHDS bar mounts and rode the other day. I think it is a good upgrade if you get sick of the handlebar holders twisting. They seem to twist really easy on the Kawis and always have. The PHDS is solid mounted and doesn't flex as much. Good upgrade.

My list of Mods:

1) Factory Connection suspension revalve/ spring change.
2) Hinson clutch basket with Rekluse Torq-Drive kit. Excellent clutch upgrade. The Hinson basket is not needed but the modulation that you get with the Rekluse kit is an awesome upgrade.
3) Up one tooth on the rear sprocket and better chain. I don't trust the stock chains so i replace them on all my bikes.
4) Arc Flexchip clutch lever and Arc brake lever. The stock levers have a weird feel to them. The clutch and brake levers don't really match.
5) FMF full exhaust. Trying to get the weight down and this system is lighter. Not really a needed change.
6) Works Connection titanium footpegs. Not really a needed change.
7) WC radiator brace.
8) Xtrig PHDS handlebar mount. The stock handlebar mount twists easily so if going to a larger handlebar....worth it to kill two birds with one stone.
9) Taller seat. I'm 6'3" so this helps.
10) Aluminum throttle tube. Better feel and smoother action. I prefer the Pro Circuit aluminum tube.
11) TM Designworks Chain slider/ guide/ roller. I just didn't want to F with this part failing while riding and ruining my ride day.
12) WC skid plate with full coverage. I hate the skid plates that have to be removed every time i change the oil so this one is good.
Bike has been awesome for me and i run the shit out of it. Change the oil every 3 hours with a filter change every other oil change. Pay close attention to the air filter and make sure it is seated properly. Everything else is plug and play.

What seat did you get? I’ve been thinking about a tall seat since I’m 6’5 but can’t decide

I got the Guts racing Phantom seat foam. I think it has a really good feel. Send them your seat and they will install the cover and foam for free last time i checked.

I like it. It helps me use third gear through tighter turns. I have to clutch the shit out of it at times but i think it helps. The rest is kind of a wash for me. You give a little to take a little. It's all about keeping the bike in third gear for me with this change.

I’ve ridden a couple tracks where I thought it could benefit from another tooth on the rear (southwick and thunder valley), but on the others I’ve liked it for the most part. I’ve been curious though Smile . I just replaced the stock stuff with stock gearing a couple weeks ago.

I took out the judder spring and added a thick plate, as well as put stiff springs in. Holy shit did that make a difference. Wayyyyyy better feel and action, without all the clutch play.

Haven't see the service manual, just the owners manual. Unfortunately the torque number isn't listed in the owners manual that I saw. If anyone has the service manual/shop manual feel free to share!
