So last week poto got a win when Stewart started at the back, THEN stalled his bike, this week, a good start for both, and Villopoto was 35.62 seconds behind Stewart at the finish, and that was without crashing....... whats up?Whistling

I thought RV got a mediocre start, came back and was catching Dasi Mudflaps.

Before the seasons start, people were saying that he was going to take the title. They were saying that he was going to be Stewart's downfall. That went about as well as "Believe the Hype".

So he needed to push last week, but not this week?

Or are you saying that last week was just luck?

villo didnt want to mess up the points leaders by getting up front and in the way......so being the class act he is he layed back.

last week was a combination of a bit of luck and some awesome riding

but lets face it, he's no match for stewart and reed (yet).

ahhhh, so he DIDN'T want to beat Mudflaps either, seeing that they are tied for points? Interesting

the problem with villopoto is he's tormented by the same downfalls as most of the other guys...he's human. MC, RC and James and possibly even Reed don't seem to be.

Anybody that has ridden scooters and anybody that has seen a modern day sx track up close realizes this. fuckers are crazy.....

You will believe the hype when you see RV ride that 450 outdoors.

I'm very much anticipating the outdoor season. Hopefully it will be more than a two man show at the front with lots of bar banging.

I think Villopoto is having a good rookie season. I never thought he was going to challenge James and Chad in SX week in week out, but I'm not at all surprised he got a win.

I don't think Villopoto is on James' pace outdoors either. Without James and Chad in the series RV could take the MX title.

I think the only hype came from people here with high expectations. I think Ryan's were in check all along.

You know about hype, R-acer. It's when you have your pom-poms at the ready for "your" rider. Smile

Exactly, no one in RV's camp said anything about crushing the competition. Those with pom poms are, well girlie girls..

cant wait to see the crazyness between alessi and poto. as much as i like ryan i think alessi will start out stronger and ryan will catch up. i think what alessi learned from stewart last year made him strong and he has a year extra experience over ryan. will be cool to see if villopoto will try to ride the 450 like the 250f outdoors

I never said it was from Ryan himself...Ryan was pretty quiet for the most part, and he knows himself that it would be a pretty tall order to go out there and beat Stewart..... they used to ride together on the Kawi track...so he knows first hand.
It was mostly moto board hype that I was talking about.

JS & RC crashed a ton and had worse rookie seasons than Villopotium!!!! CR rookie season was strong. Villopoto is the real deal!!!

If its not 4 times, it is probably close to that.
