Thinking about either getting my stock ecu remapped or purchasing a vortex. What are the pros and cons of either one or why I should consider a vortex over the stock being remapped? Also looking for recommendations on who to go through?
Thanks

The vortex mostly allows you to adjust your mapping yourself. Sending your stock ecu to a place like tokyo mods will produce the same result just no tunability after you get the ecu back. Tokyo mods costs about $100 plus shipping to have it remapped. Vortexes are what? $500+? Depends on if you want to shell out that kind of money to dial in a map. Personally i wouldnt even consider it unless youre a pro rider or a rich tinkerer.

Vortex $700,. Or even more with custom maps.great mod for the money. Remap is a great for the price. If ya got the $$. Buy the vortex. Easy resale also. Cheaper than an exhaust and better mod. Most remaps $85, custom remaps $250.

Vortex from Twisted will run you $1,000.00. They charge an extra $250.00, as you can send it back for customizing maps, on top of the already supplied custom maps.

Put one on my 19 KX450. Runs outstanding!

PC full TI pipe, T4 gas. Stronger from bottom to top, more over rev, extremely clean running through out. Never need the choke to start. This is comparing stock ECU to Vortex.

Never ran the stock pipe.

Chad at XPR motorsports does Braylon’s and Malcom’s. Keefer has been raving about it.

I did a video with him and he explained that the stock ecu has 98 points to tweak where the vortex has almost 700 points. This is why the Vortex they can get way more detailed.

I’d suggest XPR for Honda work and Twisted Dev for KTM, Husky, Yamaha.

Yep. Did some research on the Vortex ign. & found out it has a different level of tuning parameters over the oem ecu.
