I was told my pacemaker was basically indestructible, I think most chest protectors would be fine.

Just some thoughts from a guy who doesn't know a thing about pacemakers...

Make sure that sucker is secured to you really well in case you go down and tumble.
Wear something between the chesty and the PM, at least the jersey, maybe something else like an under-armor or something form-fitting so the PM doesn't get snagged and pulled off.

I would also put a large high contrast sticker on the front and back of your chesty saying something like:
"ATTENTION MEDICAL PERSONNEL: I HAVE A PACEMAKER"

Then make contact with your medics at the tracks you ride each time, to let them know you're there and your relevant details.

Then go have fun!

Well I am surprised how many riders have pacemakers now. Laughing good on you to not letting that stop what you love doing. Cool

I had to give up riding, my pacemaker was installed due to me passing out from my heart "pausing" aka stopping for 9 seconds when I converted from A-fib to sinus rhythm. After my pacemaker was installed my a-fib got way worse, so bad my resting hr was about 150 for 2 months straight. Doctors put me on so many anti arrhythmic meds my liver was shutting down. I had my 6th surgery for A-fib in October 2017, then in December a week before Christmas I had my AV node ablated. Now I'm 100% pacemaker dependent and on blood thinners for the foreseeable future.
