I have a 2015 CRF250r that I ride track and trails with. I love the bike, love the handling and weight. But I use almost all the power, in the trails I use 100% of the power a lot of the time. Which is fun, but I could use a little more punch. Getting a top end done right now, playing with the idea of maybe a cam and remap. I don't want to kill the durability/ reliability of the motor though. What do you guys think?

Get a 450? I don’t think it will affect the bike though. Maybe don’t go to far from manufacture specs?

Using 100% of the engine already kills any hope of durability.

Any High Performance parts decrease the reliability but you can do everything you can to make it is as durable as you can with valve seats, buckets, valve springs, compression, tune and correct assembly work. The cam is only one piece to the puzzle. Or buy a 450 and have piece of mind

I had a hot cams stage 2 in my 14. It didn’t effect reliability but didn’t really do much to add power either. They’re not known for being the best though.
