Did you sand the factory ano off? I’ve used lye to strip factory anodized swingarms before.
Yes, I do this to all my builds. Takes a lot of work but once its gets back to that "brushed" look it stays that way for a long time. People often told me it'd get corroded but never had that happen on any of my builds

Haven't really gotten much farther on this thing but I did mock up the plastics and finished the triple clamps

Been making some headway on this build- once I get a few more parts I'll wheel this thing to my good friend at KB5 industries for some special sauce in the engine. I'm still unsure what forks I'm going to use. I have an old set of 50mm works KYB's I might try to mount up which are off a 2008 kawi 450 so not entirely sure what I'll need to do to get those to work (any insight would be much appreciated)

I was going to send the stocks hubs to get coated as well but I'll be riding this bike and up here on the east coast rocks and roost will nick the hubs to complete shit and plus they came out looking really clean so I think they will look good on new rims, spokes, and nips

Laced up my wheels last week and while I was away at Daytona my buddy Mike from PC tracked down a pipe and carbon silencer for me. Couple more weeks and this thing will be ready to rip

For now the bike is complete and off to KB5 Industries to get the suspension and jetting dialed. I'll be adding a carbon skidplate and other carbon pieces in a month or so but for now its time to rip this thing. The tracks are prime right now up in the northeast

I never ran these footpegs before and damn they sure are light and don't have to worry about sharpening my pegs anymore

Works Connection axle blocks

I've been running this perch for 15 years, can't go wrong with this set up

Very nice build! You could change the chain guide a bit to look more 'modern' like the newer models. I did this on my yz250 2007

Or a acerbis or TM design chain guide also looks a bit better IMO but the OEM one last longer than the acerbis

I'm just using the stock one for now. I planned on using GYTR but I believe I'm going to order a carbon one when I order a skidplate and caliper bracket

Aside from a few carbon pieces for this thing and a few other trick bits this thing is finished..Swung by the track last night to break this thing in and I snapped a few pictures.Thank you to KB5, Blackheart Mx, Pro Circuit, and Works Connection. Those companies really helped me out on parts for this build. All OEM parts I got through our shop Pine Grove Yamaha
