I finally had a YZF250 on the dyno again. Make a long story short, I am impressed. It may not look like much to you guys.. but when you have a mod motor that makes "X" amount.. almost everything else you try loses power.
There was no jetting change for this particular test, I will optimize a test some other time and optimize it for both and see if results change.. I doubt results will change much.

These results should be considered the result of the lack of screen, and nothing to do with the filter itself....at least until proven otherwise.

Then again, Jesse may have just done that with his curves above.....
Are those from one single run with each setup or did you do multiple runs and that's an average?
Even if it is minimal, Go-Toil... er...I mean, No Toil, still works better, from my experience.
Jesse can probably validate my claim, he's done the dyno runs. But hey maybe I am completely wrong, wouldn't that make you happy!

just fuggen kidding folks....sheesh.
I'm certain I'm missing something in this discussion, as I never figured it out a few weeks ago when it came up.
But if you're comparing ANY filter system that has a screen, to one with no screen, then it would seem to need one additional run with a stock filter/no screen in order to say exactly WTF is causing your HP gains. If you get any....
I've been using No Toil for years and it is the BEST filter product available.
Guess not....
We know what that means...
I don't remember seeing anyone in this thread saying No Toil was no good, can you show me where?
I think people are only asking for apples to apples in regards to dyno numbers
