First, I'm planning on calling Race Tech, but I wanted to get some opinions before I call..
15 350, and debating on whether I want to fix my issues with the fork, or just sell it and get a newer 450..
So, I've been able to get it to the point that I love how it handles, and rides everywhere on the track except landing on big hits where it just blows through and bottoms out pretty bad. It's usually on one specific jump at the two tracks I ride at. It's sprung to my weight, and proper sag set.
Does anyone have experience with the Type 3 Gold Valve combo kit, and will it address the issues I'm having? I've read something about "open chambers"?
I've never done more than change oil on forks, but I have access to the tools, and I'm capable enough, so I'm hoping the combo kit is good enough to get through another season or two of a few practice days a month before I purchase a new bike.
I know there are more popular options available like Kreft's conversion, or swapping to different forks all together, but like I said, I would like to somewhat solve my problem myself and I'm curious if Racetech's kit will be better than what I have now...

The 4CS still has the defective design using the purple seal which fails, granted this can be removed if going the open chamber route. The bottoming function is very limited with either configuration, purely because of the limited real estate for any decent diameter parts to fit.
I have had almost all 4CS mods known to man and spent way too many hours testing and reviving them, out of the box AER work 30000% better
I've never experienced anything like these. My last bike's before I quit riding were an 05 CRF450 and an 07 RM 250, both setup by Factory Connection, and you would think, 10 years later, the stock 4cs would at a little better than my stock 05 CRF Showa's.. The first time I came up a hair short on a decent sized jump, I thought I wrecked my wrists.
It's crazy, because EVERYwhere else, the bike is balanced and as good as I've ridden. Pretty bummed
