Saw that online. Asking for searcher volunteers over the scanners is making this event sound very bad. Hopeful human life is not impacted. Shit can be rebuilt.

Hey guys, we're ok here in Cairo! It was bad but not nearly as bad as other nearby areas. We had several homes and local businesses severely damaged/destroyed and even a few injuries but no storm related deaths. I say that because we were actually out working a homicide when the tornado hit! Most of the damage is contained to a small area, which is still without power. I have no idea why fake news hit us so hard. I had friends and family calling me saying it was all over Facebook that we were requesting mutual aid and volunteers to search for survivors. Facebook posts were making it sound like our entire city was destroyed! Actually the area damaged was contained to an area so small that we able to complete a door to door search within two hours. Thanks for your thoughts and concerns guys. Rest assured, we'll shake it off and rebuild!

Come on now, you really going to crack the whip on his phrasing of that? I serious doubt he was really worried about the dirt getting blown around. I'm pretty sure his intention was to check on the well-being of those physically at said track, because it is a live-in training facility you know. But don't let that keep you from posting more sarcasm.

Sorry. I was just replying to what he wrote, not what I assumed his intentions to be.

Well in that case he confirmed the track hadn't been altered by the storm. We'll wait for clarification on if he was really worried about some tabletops being shifted around or the moto dudes who actually live there before deciding who should get the finger for being inconsiderate in this particular situation.
