Just saw the race. From the comments I was expecting something exceptional. It didn’t happen. It took Webb 20 minutes to close ~6 seconds. Wow, big deal.

I’m not a KR fan but anybody can throw a block in the last corner and upset the target.

There really wasn’t anything special about this other than Webb “stealing” the win by half a wheel’s radius.

I would love a chance to try the front brake on one of those factory race bikes.
The engine probably wouldn't dazzle me, as a stock 450 has as much power as I could use, and I certainly couldn't come near fully utilizing the suspension. But the brakes would be cool to sample on a really tacky track.
I bet the engine would “dazzle” you. Aj “i cant believe its not butter” Catanzaro in a Vlog said hes at a disadvantage cuz the factory guys can jump triples in 1st gear out of corners.

Are you serious? Or is this a Troll?

It took 20 minutes because he was in 7th place ***on a track where THE TOP 14 GUYS in qualifying were ALL within the SAME SECOND. The top 14 guys were all within the 50:00’s bro... So he went from 7th place to catch Marv, **gap him by 4 seconds in 1 lap, catch Kenny, then make a last corner pass for the win after starting in 7th... on a track where EVERYONE up to 14th was fast, same second fast. Then hes the ONLY guy of the entire day hitting that quad. Your crazy...or trolling.

At best, it can be said that he rode as good as KR (by 1/2 a wheel) and slightly better than MM. if that’s what it takes to be labeled “exceptional” what are the other two, merely adequate? If that’s the case it doesn’t look good for the rest of the field.

What would have been exceptional is if Webb had been Barcia and then come back. Has anyone ever come back and gained more than, I don’t know 6 seconds and 6 riders in only 20 minutes? That would have been exceptional and from what I recall many riders have closed 6 seconds and passed 6 riders, so Webb’s accomplishment isn’t that significant.

The only noteworthy item is KR got robbed.

1/2 a wheel over Ken? Ken stayed in the same spot while Webb went from 7th to first. If he was half a wheel better than Ken, he would have finished those same 6 seconds behind him that he started with + 1/2 a wheel... Do u get it now?

How did he only ride as good as KR if Ken started out front and stayed there, but webb was back in 7th and passed everybody on his way to the front where he passed Ken and won. If Ken and Coop rode the same when coop got into second he would have been 6 seconds back and stayed there until the race was over, finishing in 2nd...

When Webb passed Marv, he put 4 seconds on him in 1 lap. Webb was the only rider to rip the quad. The qual lap times had the top 14 people all within .9 seconds of each other, meaning they were all riding the same speed and there wasnt really anywhere to make up time. Still, Webb went from 7th to first.... on a track with no separation. Make sense now?

Yeah it sucks when a rider steadily comes thru the top competitors and runs me down, I got robbed! Roczen doesn't think he got robbed and no one else does either, apparently its just you.

Webb gapped him and MM quit or settled. That’s better than what Tomac did.

Yes, he put 4 seconds on him. How many laps and at what time did Webb achieve this incredible feat! I’m guessing, the 18th minute?

Also, one second a lap is massive. In a 20 lap race, that’s 20 seconds. Is someone 20 seconds behind you really competition?

Tomac can crash, throw a fit, slowly pick his bike up, start it, mount it, and sort of go, in 20 seconds.

He is a top competitor. KTM expects it and his fans do too. It’s amazing that you think that just meeting expectation is amazing. If that’s true, riders who can’t podium must need a class on the difference between what the right grip does and what the left one does. If they somehow figure it out it must be amazing.

Was the Super Bowl amazing too?

Damn that was a good race.

Ever consider that knowing the result before you watched the race robbed you of the experience everyone else had?

You knew he was making that pass. Everyone else was on the edge of their seat to see if he could catch him. If Kenny had anything left for if he did. Where and how we he pass him etc. Would Webb make a mistake and not quiet get it done.

That’s s fair comment and I can say that I wasn’t really excited about what I saw (I’m more impressed by KR and ET for different reasons) but I was watching to see something exceptional and while Webb rode really well it wasn’t exceptional because he is expected to win as a factory rider. He did his job, good for him.

Also this place is ridiculous, we get the closest race in "history" and people still find something to bitch about. Webb and roczen are my absolute 2 favorite riders, what is there not to love?

Being a huge ken and a huge coop fan (they are my 2 favorites since 14').
It seems a lot of people that are fans of one, automatically hates the other.

Lots of "never been a fan of webb but...." posts on here nowadays, when back in 2016 everyone was loving the great rides and attitude he brought? Beast from the east v2?
Did I miss something other than 2 shitty years for webb and 2 broken arms for ken?

Just interesting to me how the narrative has seemingly changed now that roczen is at the expense and there is this "rivalry" fans are keeping propped up; even though ken is now married and coop has said many times hes moved on and enjoys racing ken, who he referred to as "one of the best in the world", mutually respectfully and clean.

Just saying you can be the fan of one, and not HATE or automatically have an opinion of the other. Just noticing a stupid trend. For example I was always a ken fan so when it was basically eli vs ken there for a couple years, I didn't HATE on eli or discredit his great rides just because they were "rivals". I swear some of you on here act like coop is dating YOUR ex is all.

This has to be the most ridiculous comment ever. The talent is so deep that the top 14 qualified within 1 sec of each other. So close in speed that passing is extra difficult yet Webb comes from 7th and passes the best riders there are to win the race. Incredible doesnt even describe his performance. Nobody is saying since Coop won that Ken sux lol. Everyone here for the most part likes Ken and everyone is also saying that what Coop did was exceptional. Theyre actually doing exactly what your trying to say theyre not doing and praising both riders.

Nice diversion tactic from the fact that it is YOU that is actually the one shitting on Coop by saying it wasnt anything special what he did, when it was clear as day that passing everyone to get to second, then a last second last turn pass for the win was amazing. The smallest margin of victory in sx history. There was nowhere to make up time on this track, thats why you saying it was nothing special is false. Why could no one else do it then? Yet again what you are saying makes no sense...

Webb displayed incredible speed, determination, endurance, and a greater will to win than the others. Thats all there is to it. He is laser focused and ultra confident now. No doubt he's shifted from the goal of winning a race and the shock of accomplishing that. The dude now believes he's the baddest cat on the gate and no doubt has that title in mind at this point. If he doesnt get hurt, I honestly dont think anyone can stop him. In previous races where he won, he wasn't the fastest guy. In the last race he was as fast or faster than anyone else. In this race he was straight up faster than everyone and Roczen was looking incredible. I couldn't fathom that anyone was gonna catch Roczen once he got so far out front with the precision and speed he was riding with. For Coop to chase him down from that far back is mind bending. The confidence he is riding with is incredible. He looks exactly like RV did at one time. The guy is a winner. When he was just a tennage 250 rider and jumped onto a 450 for the mxon and dicing with the world champion Febvre for the win on a FRENCH track impressed me major just as his performance the next year at mxon did. He's a little warrior from hell. The U.S. needs riders like that on the mxon teams. Barcia too. I dont care who wins the title indoors or out. We need guys that are warriors and guys that step up a notch at mxon. Not badasses that choke and ride like shit at mxon for unknown reasons. 2019 mxon team....Webb, Osborn, Barcia. Put. Webb or Osborn on a 250. Doesnt matter. Barcia will plow to a top 5 even in deep sand. Those three would get it done I believe. Even if Herlings goes 1-1 we still can win the event. No matter how good Tomac is in sand or if he dominates outdoor series, leave him at home and don't put one of the current live wire 250 guys on the team no matter how fast they are. Just proven warriors that step up. Just my opinion.

What are you talking about? I think you have me confused with someone else. Check my post history or something bro, seriously. Biggest webb fan and been saying watch out since his last to 5th at A1, im the same dude that has been saying he will win the title for weeks. Check yourself and learn to read

All I was saying the post you quoted is, it seems like everyone is quick to hate on webb when it seems like everyone loved him for all the same reasons when he was on 250s. And now ive just noticed that since many people, myself included want to see roczen do well, that maybe the fact that coopers recent success comes at roczens expense comes into play regarding some of the hate cooper is getting right now and vice versa.

When the fuck did I say the other night wasn't sick? That was amazing and I hope CW wins every single race left. I think you actually illustrated the point I was trying to make perfectly, you half ass read my post and assumed that I was a roczen dickrider hating on webbs ride right? That's exactly the point I was trying to make, is that a lot of people are just camp kenny or camp coop and its stupid.

None of what you said are sufficient arguments. Why don’t you just say “my favorite color is aqua, that’s all that matters.”

This has to be the most ridiculous comment ever. The talent is so deep that the top 14 qualified within 1 sec of each other. So close in speed that passing is extra difficult yet Webb comes from 7th and passes the best riders there are to win the race. Incredible doesnt even describe his performance. As if the comment weren't dumb enough, you imply that Roczen was robbed. Wow.
None of what you said are sufficient arguments. Why don’t you just say “my favorite color is aqua, that’s all that matters.”
None are sufficient arguments huh? I disagree big time. Why don't you just admit you're a douchebag who just doesn't like Webb and can't resist commenting some negative, douchebag shit?

BobbyLight didn't say that, AceDudemeister did. It must be hard to maintain accuracy while posting responses to every single post in every single thread in every single sub-forum all simultaneously.

Yeah it sucks when a rider steadily comes thru the top competitors and runs me down, I got robbed! Roczen doesn't think he got robbed and no one else does either, apparently its just you.

Slow down speedbreak, nowhere in my post do I say a word about "amazing". I was merely addressing YOUR EXACT QUOTE" that Roczen got robbed. Fact is, Webb came thru and passed the better guys in the field, like I accurately stated. FACT. So this clever Super Bowl quip doesn't apply but thank you for responding.

Hell yea. Id normally say throw Webb on the 250 but hes now the best 450 rider. Anderson has won an MXON moto too. Id Say Webb, Anderson, Osborne. All 3 of them arent ever afraid to bang bars. Throw Osborne on the 250... That would be an amazing team, the best we could send. Im a Tomac fan, but I know he gets too many jitters under pressure. Mxon is a big pressure situation. Anderson was either injured or got jitters too, but hes usually nails too. Barcia on a 250 could be nuts too, hes an animal on the 250 n he never left the rev the piss out of it style behind.

This weekend the way Ken ran down Eli and passed him I thought for sure he had it in the bag. The fact that Webb then ran him down from 7th is incredible. Webb excels under pressure, and he was even bangin bars with Marv at his last Yamaha race at Ironman just to make a statement. Hes a bad dude and he gets better with pressure. Not to mention Webb, Anderson, or Osborne all 3 I could see cleaning someone out last turn at MXON to go for the win. These 3 are who wed want. Imagine if Tomac was turning down the team before and now they dont ask him... Maaan what a turn thatd be, but if were being honest itd be in our best interest of winning. As crazy as it is to say... its true.
