There was a dark horse walking in the highway at 10:00 pm in the middle of nowhere last weekend as I was hauilng the whole family, trailer, eight bikes and all the assorted crap you carry for a weekend . Talk about having to clean out the shorts. It was close.....real close. I think I brushed the knots out of his tail as I went by on the brakes still at about 60 mph.

What constitutes a dark horse? Is it someone who's not in the spotlight right now? Or is it someone on the cusp of breaking through?

Either way- Josh Grant/Jlaw of the 450's

and

Broc Tickle/Matt Lemoine on the 250s.

Read a article last week with Gieco Honda's managment and they said Reardon would not ride 450's in the outdoors and would indeed be back on the 250F for the outdoor's.

I don't know about that.. I read on racerhead that Reardon was moving up to the 450 in order to make room for Barcia on the 250. Check it out on Racer X.

I don't know if he is a dark horse, but my pick is Justin Barcia.

450's:
Villopoto, Grant, JLaw - all first year 450 outdoors, all are dark horses because we don't know what they can do outdoors on a 450 yet

250's
Stroupe - speed is there, but consistency?
Metcalfe - how has he recovered from his supercross injury?
Max Anstie - Not for the title but could possibly pull some podiums, we know what these amateurs can do in their first year now....
