Yamaha only has a hardtail, correct? I think we have too many rocks and tree roots in Western PA for hardtails.

Have you tried any Haibikes with rear suspension?

No I haven't , but I did try a KTM full suspension E-bike , that was brilliant but out of my price range.

I may make the ultimate sacrifice and sell the YZ for an e-bike.

"Oh the Humanity!"

My current job is not very compatible with moto, and I'd get 100x more use out of an e-bike.

I like the Fantic, Specialized, and Kona e-bikes. The options available are quite the noggin scratcher, as Ned Flanders would say.

Bry145,

http://www.adamsolarrides.com/

You should check this place out, not sure how you don't know about it because it is in your town. The owner is pretty cool and will work out some test rides for you.

And, anyone that thinks ebikes are lame hasn't ridden a good ebike. The new higher end mountain ebikes are mind blowing. And, you can get a way better full body workout than you can on a regular mountain bike. Incredible for cross training moto.

Would seriously like to know if Peely has ridden one yet. He mountain bikes, and I think his opinion is pretty well respected around here.

I saw this place while riding to the local trails.

I don't want to look into the e-bike until I'm in a financial position to buy one.

I'm still having fun on the Kona Process, aside from the dropper post that gave up the ghost and goes up and down on its own. That's a lot of fun while grinding out a big low-traction hill while sitting down!

I'll stop by this place and see how it is.

I rode an early European spec kit with a backpack battery for a test. It makes you feel like Superman.
The local hill I ride after work (Mission Peak 1500’ climb up to 14% grade over 2.5 mi) has banned them. However, I’ve got friends that are experienced mtn bikers that ride just longer distances and cover ground they wouldn’t otherwise in 4 hours.
I’m still worried about more trail erosion but I’m convinced my next mtn bike will be a quad err... e-bike.

I could see how trail erosion could be an issue.

And yes, the adventure aspect of the e-bike could be very enticing. It could be like the good old days when people rode out of their garages out into the hills and came home when low on gas.

We actually started a new e-bike magazine here in Finland earlier this summer, so I’m getting to ride these quite a bit. It is not motocross, but still good fun! Currently my favourite bike is the Husqvarna MC7.

The bike and riding area both look sick.

Tons of rain here in Pittsburgh this summer has resulted in sloppy and leaf covered trails.

How much for that bike in American?

Hi Everyone,

For the ones that don't know, this year MXSport, Fantic and the GNCC got together to create the first Fantic eMTB series. This past weekend was the last round of the 4 races pilot program at the Ironman MX GNCC event and we are going to have 8 or 9 races next year.

Charlie Mullins was the winner on the Fantic Integra 160. It was a mud fest!!

I know the KTM MTBs are not the same KTM that makes MX bikes, even though they share the same colors/logo/etc. Is this the same as the Husky bikes? First time I seen a Husky. Around here I tend to see mostly the Chinese/Taiwan junk.

Thanks for the info and feedback. I remember you from the good old days of WMX racing. Smile

The Fantic looks like the bike to get, but I'll have to save up a bit before getting in position to look at one. I have had two Konas, but am open to swapping brands.

The Husqvarna e-bikes are made by German Pexco company together with KTM Industries AG (which makes KTM & Husqvarna motorcycles). Interesting enough the Pexco is headed by Susanne Puello who co-founded Haibike back in 1995. They started only last year. I heard they are coming out with second brand called Ready2Race...

KTM Industries AG and KTM Fahrrad GmbH have a shared history but already decades ago a split took place between the bicycle part of the company and the one for motorcycles. Currently they operate completely independent with KTM Fahrrad offering KTM bicycles and e-bikes and KTM Industries that markets KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles.

Did someone say E-bike? Haven't ridden my non assist bike since. Way fun and if you push it, you won't be wishing you got more exercise after your ride. I come back just as spent but typically cover 2-3x the amount of ground and have way more fun doing so. I've ridden my fair share of E-bikes working in the industry, and nothing compares to the Specialed Kenevo IMO

Damn those Husky eBikes look pretty damn good, too bad they don't sell them outside Europe...

You like that over the Levo? Can you give your thoughts on comparing the two.

I have an 2018 Specialized Stumpjumper Expert and this past summer rented a Levo and did a tour with a bunch of other riders in Colorado Springs while on vacation. The other guys were all in great shape, riding all the time and doing an ebike ride just like me...though I am not nearly in shape like they are.

I had SO MUCH FUN. Did just over 20 miles where I would not have been able to do that on my SJ. I was huffing and puffing and had one hell of a work out but still made the ride. Was able to make the climbs and get to the fun stuff. It was awesome.

I cannot wait until the US gets to the point like Europe and they are way more accepted. Still I have been debating between the Levo and the Kenevo and would like to know what swayed you to the heavier bike?
