So who raced this past weekend? It was the opening race in D-23 and the usual torture of the Grantsburg sand track. Tough way to start a season but the weather was great and so was the racing! It was a low turnout compared to past years and I only raced one class +50 and ended up in front of 5 guysSmile

How did you guys do? Anyone else race their first race of the year? Todder, i heard you love the sandWink

this is true my track is 50/50 sx/mx so the back is sand and currently (no joke here) 6-8in deep mud, the front well to sum it up you could duck hunt on and the track is elevated with drain's if that helps with how much water its seen so far. Even the track around the corner that is 100% sand is still no good. as for the dunes they are on the other side of the state sadly

I will admit it isn't easy. Its down right hard sometime, but its the love of the sport that keeps me going. So long as I'm in school and doing well, my parents are buying the bikes, so I can't complain...or quit!
I would like to think that I have a lot of heart and determination, and I keep focused on what I have to do. Just keep pluggin away man, if you want it bad enough, you can work for it.

I heard a local group is trying to shutdown Washougal for good.

Any truth to it that you know pilotdude?

I've heard for last couple years rumors of this.

Don't mean to rain on your great 2nd OA. Congratulations to ya....

We crashed and burned this weekend. Practice on Saturday was great. Then came the rain on Sunday. Garren has not ridden in the mud in a long time. First set of motos he crashed 3 times. Come second set of motos and did not even make one lap of the his first moto. He came off start in a great position, then got bumped went down and him and bike both got ran over. His bike shows the signs of being ran over and so does the bike. He ended up with a splint of his right wrist. Went to the ortho today and was told his right arm is fractured in the radius and he could have some possible fractured ribs. He said there was nothing he could do for the ribs just watch him. I can't believe this he told him he could ride if he wanted to. But Garren decided he would sit out for the 4 weeks. This is the first broken bone for him in over 2 years.

There was a lawsuit but it was resolved last year and all is clear for the future. No danger of closure for many years. Yes, sandbagger got first but not by much!

sorry to hear about the crash. Can't believe he said he could ride. Sitting out for a few weeks is probably smart.
