Dang it....at a local race on Saturday team Switzerland's hopes got torpedoed. Auberson was leading a race and crashed in a fast section. He has 3 vertebrae fractured. On Sunday or Morning the doctors offered him a special procedure where they inject some kind of "cement" into the spine. He's been given the green light to race, he won't be 100%, but he will race.

Sucks...cause Guillod and Sewer are riding well...

Idk Mav... I'd say KTM puts even less into the graphics.

I get that teams have sponsors that pay the bills but still, other teams/countries make it happen.

I agree with you on that. I love the teams that actually have full graphics representing the country they are from. It's like the retro rounds for SX, KTM and a few other teams put little to zero effort into it.
Unfortunately, its not always up to the team/graphic company. I have 6 or 7 riders I’m building graphics for and unfortunately, Yamaha has control over most designs. We get the plates to work with and that’s about it. Keep an eye out for team Ireland tho, still working on their design (Irwin and Barr). If the latest design gets approved it’ll be cool

I kinda figured that. It's just a bummer for races like this and the retro rounds.

I'll be looking for it! Cutting kinda close aren't they? haha

Yea it’s a bummer. Had a cool idea for Jeremy Seewer that didn’t get approved. Hopefully we have at least two bikes that look more patriotic. It’s a little close, but we did some plates for them already. Just trying to get this design done and I’ll bring it up to them if it’s good when I come up.

Once it's together with the helmet/goggles and the boots I think it's going to look amazing.

In case you or anyone is wondering what that little vest is next to the jersey, FXR makes them specifically for when the temperature starts to drop to keep your core warm. A lot more comfortable than a sweatshirt and better looking.

They might need them during morning practice.

I think Matty was right. Here's another KTM that's very plain looking with little to zero effort put into the design. I'm sure Red Bull is the cause of it and I get it but it still would be cool to see the sponsors be a little more flexible for this race event.

I am more than aware of the whole sponsors pay the bills spool. I agree with you Maverick...much more flexibility is needed. Everybody in the MX world refers to this race as the olympics of MX, thus I believe that just like each country has an olympic costume/outfit that they compete in at the real olympics, each country should have the emphasis placed on their country's colours for not just their outfit but their bike as well. It would be a much bigger and better spectacle and more fitting of the event.
Nobody is going to go and buy a can of red bull or monster just because they see it on their hero's bike at this race. They already know red bull or monster or whoever sponsors their rider!
The powers to be or each country's federation should make it compulsory for an emphasis to be placed on team colours with little to no sponsorship. The sponsors will jump up and down for a little bit but I'm sure red bull wouldn't stop sponsoring ktm for the other 364 days of the year because of it. Neither would monster and whoever else!
