Going to look at one tomorrow after Moto session. Anybody out there have or had one ? I'm buying used.
It's a 2004 four winds ford e450 front end (gas) with only 12k. Anything i should look out for with these units ?

Thanks Guys !

Don't buy a gas burner, they are terrible at high altitudes. It's better to spend the money on the diesel.

Quality isn't too hot....I had an 02 28 footer several years ago. Cheap finish on things.

I'd look for a diesel Seneca or other brand doing the garage dealio...there's several out now and they're ALL dealing their asses off....

Had mine for 6 years and love it, I'm ready for something bigger tho.

03 with 45k on it. I have the black and white interior with carbon fiber dash, pretty trick! Looks way cool with white walls, cabinets and black leather interior. How much is the one your looking at, what options does it have?

I pull 7 - 8.5 MPG, not the best on gas but they don't make a diesel so it is what it is! For trips 3+ days its better than taking a moto van and getting a hotel and not being able to stay on site you know?

We owned a Fun Mover for 7-years. We have owned a Damon Outlaw for two and have driven iit almost 20k. 8.1 GM gas V8, 6-speed Allison trans, 22.5 wheels, etc. 7-8 (honest) mpg on cheapest regular gas. Same size garage, but sooo much nicer living space. I would buy one again.
Being used to driving 48'Showhaulers using tandem axles, the amount of body-roll bothers me sometimes, but not at half the cash outlay!

If you are just using it for weekend dashes close to home I think they are fine. If you are traveling the country with it, go with a Class A or an F650 or truck chassis. A diesel also. The gas engines turn more RPM's and are much harder on tranny's. Don't beat on it going up passes like Hesperia or the grapevine. You also get quite a bit of body roll, and have to steer a little to go straight.
I had the F-650 diesel Fun Mover for about three years. That is a moto unit, but hard to find, and quite a few more dollars.
