Question about CR500 Cylinders

I have a 1997 CR500 needs not top end. Mine is not nickle plated. Are they nickle plated from the factory?

As far as I know, your ‘97 was played from Honda, so someone must’ve had it sleeved.

CR500s have always been iron lined. Never came from factory with plating.

Iron Sleeve..like mentioned above always has been, can still get it plated when you have bored and matched.

Its a steel sleeve as OEM, but we plate a ton to get them back to OEM size and for better wear characteristics.
