F1 World Championship 2018

It was mentioned in the broadcast Ferrari olnly opted for one set of the soft tires for the weekend then ran them in the race with no practice completely untested. Wtf? This can’t be true can it?

Either way Ferrari strategy continues to disappoint. Seb has no one to blame but himself and makes mistake after mistake. (I am a Seb fan)

Lewis is one of the best period. I just can’t stand the guy whenever he talks on the radio or takes his helmet off.

Let’s hope for a real barn burner all the way the to the final round.

Vettel has royally lost it now best they can do now is get their shit together for next season
Kimi is a very popular racer and it was great to see him in the mix
Tbf to Hamilton it is not entirely his fault he is a twat as he is surrounded by sycophants

I have always rooted for the English teams over the Italians, so it was fun to see Hamilton beat them at their home track.

(yeah, I know Mercedes is supposed to be 'German', but apart from the money, there's nothing German about that team! See 'Reynard Park' in Brackley, Northamtonshire, UK)

I am originally English and also from Northamptonshire, so naturally I'm always behind a British effort, be that driver or team. I don't know that I get the Hamilton hate on here to be honest. I get that he can have a character that isn't to everyones taste but he is a good driver, no question.

Great race yesterday. Kind of wish Kimi had won though, feel like it might light a fire under him, although I am not sure what would get him excited.

One reason to grow tired of Hamilton is that everyone gushes over how great a driver he is, but at the same time, he is in a Mercedes. Look at how much better results Bottas got from switching cars. He didn't really get better, the car did.

I think around 7 of the teams are based in the UK, so pick any you want. A British "based" team will always do you proud.

I think its too early for him and Kimi is driving so well right now, huge mistake IMO.

You think they were hoping Kimi would've made the pass by Hamil-douch a bit more "interesting"?

Whistling Of course they would never admit it ... I have to believe they were.

Kimi might be retiring. We'll find out soon enough.

I'm not into podcasts but I know some of you are so just want to mention that Nico Rosberg started one. It's called Beyond Victory and his first guest was Bernie Ecclestone.

Charles Leclerc's move to Ferrari to replace Kimi Raikkonen next year is done bar an official announcement

Thousands of fans have signed an online petition urging Ferrari to retain Raikkonen.

Raikkonen has been told he will be released when his contract expires at the end of this season.

Meanwhile, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton says Raikkonen will be a great loss to the sport if he leaves F1 at the end of the season.

Latest rumour out of Italy on Raikkonen's future. Leclerc is to delay joining Ferrari until 2020 and will stay at Sauber on the salary agreed for his contract at the Scuderia. One more year of learning the ropes for him and Kimi gets another year.

Leclerc officially announced to Ferrari
Räikkönen has also announced he is going to Sauber for a 2 year deal, that one was a bit of a shock

I see if more as a "farewell tour" if you will. Ending his career at a team where it all began.

Kudos to Kimi.

A "farewell tour" doesnt include a two year contract.

This all kinda pisses me off, i still think its one year early.

Unless he has a race winning car and challenges for the title next year, which is highly doubtful in the Sauber, I still have him down for retirement at the end of 2019. 2-year contract or not.

2016: Rosberg
2017: Massa
2018: Alonso
2019: Raikkonen

Stamped.

Very disappointed in this as I am a big Kimi fan. Somehow I don't see him happily cruising around in a Sauber for 2 years. Not his style.

I disagree, I think we`ll see something closer to the Kimi Lotus days. Leclerc was getting close to Ferrari A spec engines as allowed. I can see Kimi getting the current engine packages and Ferrari making Sauber as close to a B team as the other teams will allow.

Today Ross Brawn unveiled the official 2021 F1 concept car at an F1 technical conference in Singapore.

Thoughts? I think it looks cool.
