I'm by no means an expert on the situation but I'd have to disagree. I come from and follow racing and the track is where i do 98% of my riding BUT... The kid has 586 THOUSAND followers... Again, I'm no expert but when almost 600 Thousand people scroll through and like his pictures, I would say that would reach more of an audience that is actually paying attention to the commercials during primetime on a show airing on ABC or NBC or any of these bigger networks. All see him on a green bike (other then xgames he leaves his bike kawi green MOST of the time). And whether we want to admit it or not, if you are looking to get into the sport or are already in the sport and want to buy a bike they say "that axle kid is insane and he rides that green bike and it doesn't snap in half when he jumps 50 feet in the air, that bike must be pretty good I think ill get a green bike like Axle". I think to say the kid doesn't sell bikes is an ignorant statement. Whether or not you agree with how he does or have any desire to ride a quarterpipe (I know I don't), the kid has to sell bikes. Again this is my opinion and I have zero facts to back this up, I just don't see how Kawi doesn't see an ROI from this kid.

And this is the point I am trying to make but clearly anyone over 26 loves to disagree with the fact that these "instagram" riders are getting way more exposure than the top guys on NBC sports or fox. Its just true and there are facts to back it up. He is sponsored by pro circuit... How many non racers can say that? The kid sells bikes.. Sure maybe a majority to socal guys but whats the difference they are the biggest market. besides UTV sales in the south.

I am 22 years young, how young are you to not know who Twitch or Tyler Bereman are? Do you have an instagram? Not trying to be a dick but I mean these are huge influencers of the sport on social media right now. I suppose if you aren't from America you wouldnt know. But if you are posting responses on Vital I take you care about dirt biking in general. Or you are just strangling the industry by only watching racing. And it was a joke they don't race. Just ride for a living.

Let me know how many bikes Twitch and Bereman sell and then get back to us. The younger crowd might now who they are, but they aren't selling bikes so for the rest of us they are pretty irrelevant. By the way I'm 27 and I really couldn't care less what Twitch and Bereman. I watched Bereman come through the ranks racing CMC. I'm glad he is making money free riding and all that, but again he isn't selling bikes or anything like that so he's irrelevant to the guys that just love racing.

Im not going to destroy you with statistics. But lets be real. How many kids 18-24 are buying new dirt bikes? If i saw Ronnie Renner hitting a sweet kicker in Ocotillo Wells vs ET3 hitting a rhythm in super cross. Im not going to buy a new kawi and go pretend to be ET3 because I'm not a groomed professional. Twitch and Bereman don't sell as many "new" bikes sure. but they do sell brands at pretty much the same level as ET3. They reach different markets on a free platform on a daily basis. Also they post shit every day that gets 10s of thousands of views. Over time thats much more than the same ET3 fans watching him win MX or SX. I don't think its just about selling bikes if we are talking about growing the sport.
I will agree to disagree because I don't see either one really selling anything to anyone. I'd even argue the fact that a chunk of followers of Hodges and Twitch only know about them because because they follow and drink Monster. And Bereman a good chunk of his followers would be racers, both young and old. XGames probably helped both of them quite a bit, because let's face it, who sees a picture or video of guys jumping dirt bikes 100+ feet or 30+ feet high and doesn't want to see more? Not saying they don't sell product at all, but I think you are giving them a little too much credit. I'm not saying they are bad guys either, because Tyler was always a nice/good kid at the races. Axle I don't know so I cant comment on him, although I do think some people give him way too much crap.

Everybody thinks Tiger is an automatic pick... I hope not. His record sucks in the Ryder Cup.
