Need help on a contest or someway to do it.

It’s an 09 kx450. Nice bike.

I haven’t rode in 5 years. The bike hasn’t been cranked in about 3 years. So I need to change oil and gas and expect it to be fine.

Suspension and other work done by local mechanic that does everyone’s bikes. Has your typical goodies and great suspension.

I’m 44 and don’t plan on getting back riding. Just hate seeing it sit in garage.

Have a ton of gear like pants etc also

What do you think would be a good way to give away?

I been working with troubled at-risk kids in the Wake County ( Raleigh, NC ) Juvenile Detention Center for 15 years, and I am launching a Christian based dirt bike camp for when these kids get out of jail. I don't currently have any bikes.

Personally, I would do as DWilson did. Go to the races, find someone who deserves and appreciates it. Make someones day on the spot.

Giving it away instead of selling it is very respectable. Props.

Cool idea and you have a big heart.
Maybe a Possible Ebay auction(fees are the downside) or sale the bike and donate proceeds to your charity of choice. Good luck.

Just kidding
Honestly I would go to a local Race
And find some one Riding an older bike
That's in rough shape
And give it to someone that really needs it

Sell tickets for some amount of money and donate for R2R.

Or buy something for the Alpinestars mobile medical truck like Kurt's wife did with the extra money from the gofundme

I've ridden my 250 about 3 times in the last 6 or 7 years. I know how you feel

Give it to a middle aged guy going through the final stages of a divorce that hasn't been able to afford a bike for awhile....

There's a guy in Non-Moto in that exact situation I think.

What if you asked a local dealer if you could trade it for 2 pw50s and hand those out?

Something like this makes more sense.

450's are meant for adults, who should be responsible enough to save and buy their own toys. Kids no so much.

Or sell it and pick up a couple pw50s or 65s and give those out.

It's awesome you're looking to help someone in need, but stick to the kids. 2 birds with one stone, you make the kids day, and the parents will be happy to see their kids enjoying something they love.
