he was flying around the outside!!!

he is showing how mature he is by letting stewart by, he has no business rubbin bars with any of the contenders for the title. he is just out there showing that he is faster than all the factory honda riders and many others with no trainer and his own equipment...

Do you think he sat behind Shorty for the whole main because...

A. He respects him and didnt want to interupt his 3rd place in the points chase?

B. Give him a ton of shit for later to show him he's owned?

c. Actually couldnt get past Andrew?

For whatever reason he followed Andrew for at least 10 laps, from where I sat he was clearly faster but seemed reluctant to try a different line to make the pass. JT$ said it was a very difficult track to pass on but if he had tried the outside in the section after the under tunnel I think he would have been able to make the pass.

Sounds like he was respecting the points race. If that is true, he deserves some props.

Shorty rides a wide bike and he's well known for making contact. JLaw knows that his conditioning isn't where he needs to be to ride full out. He might have been pacing himself to see just how much he has in the tank. So, if he pushes to make that pass and gases a bit, now he's got Short punting him off the track.

Once he's been around for a few more races and knows what he can and cannot do, we'll see if he wicks it up a bit.

I definitely don't think he stayed behind Short because he just didn't have the raw speed to make the pass.

Or

D. Knew he was in 5th place, knew Short would bang bars if neccessary and was VERY happy with a top 5.

I like this option.

Maybe he is starting to understand the bigger picture?
Good rides for the rest of the 450 season will certainly make a better impression for the sponsors when it is time to negotiate for next year.

If it is a fact of him letting people go by for championship points where does it end? I think he could of got podium if he really wanted to. 338 is a bamf regardless if he hits the pipe, or hit Jim Bob Billy in the pits...
