STAY AWAY

I ordered the titanium sprocket bolt set to save a few bucks over warp9 kit or even the racetech.

Started to tighten them up yesterday & Snap!!!
Small wrench & small ratchet by hand. Garbage imo

Let’s see if they’ll return now

Wow, that’s wild. For anything titanium, use Mettec. Good people, good product.

Is it actually clay or are you just speculating? Becuase it looks like a lower grade titanium thats been had a treatment thats hardened the outside. No way would full blown 6AL-4V break like that during tightening.

This is what grade 5 titanium (6al-4v) looks like when over-torqued. If the broken area gets some oil or grease on it, then it will look a lot darker, much like the photos above. This doesn't prove those bolts are or are not grade 5, but shows what a freshly broken bolt looks like.

It's easy to over-tension bolts if they're well lubricated and you're using the dry spec for torque values. Or if they were dry, titanium on titanium will gall very easily which is no good. That could be what happened with the Flo bolts, or not, it's hard to say from a picture!

Little off topic, but your clamps look awesome! Any chance of clamps for yz 250's before the clamps were widened? I'd love to get a set for my 05. I've seen some of the stuff you and N2Dirt are working on and heard about some future stuff. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

Thanks! We've got a lot of exciting new stuff planned actually. Our 06+ Yamaha clamps are available now, and I'm looking into making custom wheel spacers so you can use 06+ clamps on the pre-06 bikes to correcting the spacing issue. Shoot me an email when you get a chance and I'll fill you in o the details.
