I got tired of deleting games to make room for other's because I sometimes go a long time before going back to them. Having to delete and re-install games became a pain in the ass so I bought a 2TB external hard drive just so I no longer had to deal with that.
Had no other choice because I didn't have enough room to install COD: WWII. That along with the fact that I knew 2 MX games were coming soon and a bunch of other games will be released this year made it an easy choice to make.
I'd recommend buying an external hard drive. You'll then be able to download the game and stop running around from store to store.
Very stoked to see you boys are enjoying it. It's literally killing me to have to wait to play it but what can you do. Rock n roll doesn't wait for anything, damn it. Lol. I know I'm going to absolutely love it. Can't wait to fire it up tonight!!!!!!!
Im finding the bike sponsorships a bit obnoxious how all of them change the bike to some unknown brand colors - I got a kx250 and all the bike sponsors completely cover up the manufacturer colors! :/ On the starts its a bit of a cheat how I can just plow thru like a goon on the first turn with zero consequence, so if I treat the racing a bit more realistically while in the pack, it is pretty damn fun trying to catch the front leaders. Gameplay is fun. Scrub animations feel awkward coming from MVA games. Probably the biggest gripe(!) is the lack of terrain deformation. Im playing on medium length and I see tread marks for the lines, but zero actual rut formation.
Pit Row
Winning races and smashing pussy.
I'm using a whoop as a starter whoop and then using the small single jumps as the real whoops. They are huge and you have to really use the right technique to skim them. ?
The graphics are great, and have been great since MXGP3, so I think what really makes both these games special (and polarizing) is the controls. I like them. The changes they've made make supercross much more fun than the one SX track was in MXGP3. The connection between the rider and the ground is better. The controls are a little more precise. The tracks are wider. The tough blocks can ruin your good time, but don't always.
You can do more with the bike. In MXGP3, things like step-on-step-offs felt odd. Wheelies and manuals didn't really do what they should do off obstacles, and it's better here. I like the bowl turn slide action.
Rider customization is better. The font choices alone for names and numbers go a long way.
I feel less able to bounce through a section without penalty, as you could in MXGP3. I like that. Slowing down and being smooth pays off.
I wish I could scrub a little bit less. The scrub is cool, but it's such an all or nothing move, as it was in MXGP3.
I miss the open world player "compound" where you could practice. This game dumps you right into the thick of supercross, and it's tough. And this is stupid because it's a supercross game, but I miss the outdoors. Supercross is stressful! And I think they captured that feeling very well.
I don't think the game is incomplete, as someone else up there said, but it does feel boxed in. And I don't really understand the achievements yet, but they put a lot of emphasis on the various plaques/trophies you can win.
2. WHIPS AND SCRUBS- i know, motocross is more than that but i think they need to invest time to get a free air control
3.BRAKES- in gp1 and gp2 you had to use the brakes in gp3 and mes you only need to use the rear brake
4.COLLISION SYSTEM- when you fall on a rider you dont actually fall on it, you fall on a hitbox, same thing when they fall on you
5.BUGS AND PERFOMANCE PROBLEMS
HA.
But for real, if you set yourself up for the whip before you leave the ground, it works. If you go off a jump straight and then try to move the bike, it doesn't work. I do think that's more realistic than the other games.
I picked the Honda for my bike and it went to 450 first. Didn't think I'd have to change the bike when selecting the 250 East championship (doesn't let you select 450 series). I noticed it in the results. Thought it was just a glitch (well, it's obviously a very big glitch) but the number plate backgrounds were white, not black like everyone else.
So if you're winning very easily in the 250 class, you might be on a 450.
