and you know even less but made a great point...the best in the world doesn't crash by going heavy on the front brake in wet grass...thank you.

glad I could give you a laugh, bobby, but the bottom line is, james has raced daytona before, and i'm sure knew all about the grass, but in the heat of the moment, he wasn't thinking, "maybe i should take it easy and go slower into the first turn because i have 20 laps to catch up to everyone i let go ahead of me". to think 7 would race any way but full speed is ridiculous. it's what seperates the ultra-elite riders from the "normal" humans. they keep that insane pace for the entire race, which means from the gate drop to the checkers.

The holeshot device did not malfunction.... Keep in mind how stiff JS runs his front end, it requires a fair amount of weight transfer to unlock. The grass did not provide enough traction for the amount of brake he grabbed and the front end skated before it could compress enough to unlock..

The holeshot device did not have to "malfunction" to be somehow "involved" in this disaster.

Same reason Millsap nearly lost his frontend at the exact same location in his heat race. Except Davi is strong enough to save it but lost control hitting Kdub anway. Stewart was right there and should have learnt from it. Burner got nailed from behind, period.

did James not get a chance to look at the first corner before the final, because as you say coach, he stuffed up. Chad is multiple champ but fast James is learning more all the time, should create a great finish to the series as James actually held the lead over the Champ for one round this year and has the speed to chase the champ before the series ends.

Good for these racers. They have balls, unlike a bunch of posters here.
