Just got the offical results for Saturday night, and apparently the AMA didn't find anything objectionable with Jason's choice of first turn lines...he is credited with second.
Oh, another interesting note? The winner's average lap time? 1:10.8

I wonder if LB and JBS could use a point or two at this point in time? hmm.....

i think he had like 5 or 6 laps in the 1:08 range... and that came after the halfway point. impressive indeed.
and it's a good thing the results stand as original. no reason to penalize good racing

Again,my 3 points.......
1st, No Red Flag
2nd, No Re-Start either
3rd, No Protest
Racing's racing & STUFF happens.
Sure I'm happy cause I pull for him.
I get what you all are saying.
Even though his times were quick,
circumstances were what they became.
Accept it!!!!!!!!!
Even outside of the AMA or FIM, there's
the all mighty grounds for a FORMAL PROTEST!
"O", "Zipp-O", "Na-daa", nothing....
Had ALL the other team managers felt likewise,
then we'd be hearing of it. I feel they too saw
"a train wreck", & the great rides that followed!
All who re-covered deserve a "tip of the hat".
For me , I accept it regardless. Jason rode an awesome
fast respectful race.
"A race for the ages".........

the future because the boundaries have just been widened
After watching, both JLaw and Ferry could have followed suit, but they didnt and the AMA gave it their blessing. JLaw was the only one that made up positions. Ferry entered the track at a different spot than JLaw and was still behind the group he was behind entering the first turn (he was coming from the far outside) because you can see KDub and Ryan pass him as he trys to get through the tuff blocks at the apex of the turn. The other person that cut the course was Shorty, but you can easily see that after he starts his bike he looks at the pile, with team members and officials all over the place and decides he has nowhere really to go. He takes the safest route and gained no positions.
All water under the bridge now. Do you know if Mitch and the team thought of protesting??? Or because Ferry followed him they didnt want want to cause a stir?
Your whining about JLaw on here is pretty silly.
Pit Row
things interesting no matter if he rides or choses not to ride. He keeps us all guessing.
It was more about the precedent of allowing someone to gain advantage by cutting the
track, don't care who it was.
