The other day I made a post in a JLaw/Daytona related thread.
I said something like ..."I got feeling James & Chad will get into some sort of trouble and JLaw will possibly win". Smile
If the kid had equal fitness to Reed ...I think he could have won it.
I watched the video several times.
If you watch it again he is sliding to a stop trying to stop before running into pack. when he finally does slide to a stop he is already inside the tuff block.. He made a split second choice and went left. What choice would you have made with photographers, tuff blocks and a bunch of stopped riders in front of you?
He chose to go left. Watch the video and see the only guy to come from the middle of the track and take a hard left turn and cut the track was Ferry.
J-Law was already on the inside of the tuff blocks when he finally slid to a stop.
He came back on the track in about 4th or 5th place.
By your logic he should have sat there and waited for the pack to clear in front of him.
By saying he passed a bunch of guys its cheating. No I don't think so. Your telling me he has to wait and see who is going to make it through. They were all stopped. Just because they were not on the ground doesn't mean he can't pass them.

And why the hell aren't you jumping on Ferry and Short here? Why just Jlaw? don't get it. Just sayin'.
else. Left turn across the track meant 4th instead of 20th out of the corner. He had plenty of time to decide what he was going to do and he chose to cheat. Rode a great
race after that. Not an opinion, just fact. He still got second.
According to oldfart, Monster protects Jason from the AMA.
Maybe Honda is protecting Jason also, to lure him away from riding a Yamaha.
The guy comes out, lays down the fastest practice time out of everybody. Ends up on the box. What happens on the track is racing, you can explain everything or why "this happened or that". He rode damn good. If you think a few seconds by avoiding a pileup deters from his performance your an idiot.
up there winning Anaheim I and Daytona when James goes down, but instead he's made mistakes at the wrong time and has only managed three podiums. He's better than that and he's still 4th in the championship with all his falls. I can't wait till he rides
a race where he gets a good start and doesn't go down. I would have liked to see how
close he would have gotten to Jason if he hadn't stalled it. I wished J-Law wouldn't have
cut the track so he could have came through the pack with Chad & Ryan, but I guess we
will all have to wait till next week to see the next episode.
back of the pack. If he would of been up where Josh was or where Jason ended up he
would have had a chance for a win. I'm not saying he is as fast as JS or CR yet, but
if he had the same circumstances of those races and was up front he would have been
in 1st or 2nd like Jason & Josh.
just on the opposite end of the spectrum, right?
Your not helping JLaw
Only time will tell , and to be honest ALL OF OUR opinions won't make a fucking bit of difference!
Lawrence rode great. But he still cut the track (although to avoid carnage), but the bottom line is, he gained several positions when he should have waited to re-enter at a reasonable position. I'd say at least 5 or 6 with the slew of downed riders. Would he have gotten 2nd anyway? Very possible given how well he was riding. But what if stewart just does 20 donuts around the finish line next weekend? He's fast enough to win, so why bother docking him?
