Not as hilarious as watching to try to degrade him after he pulled a second place in his first race.

After leading the first two laps, Alessi came under attack from fastest qualifier Jason Lawrence, who made quick work of Alessi and moved into the lead. Lawrence immediately began to pull away from Alessi while Reed was having a tough time moving through the pack and only sat seventh. By lap four, Reed was fifth, behind Hahn, GEICO Powersports Honda’s Kevin Windham, Alessi and Lawrence.

..I love it.
It doesn't surprise me.
The other day I made a post in a JLaw/Daytona related thread.
I said something like ..."I got feeling James & Chad will get into some sort of trouble and JLaw will possibly win". Smile

If the kid had equal fitness to Reed ...I think he could have won it.

Sorry Fart I have to go against you on this one..

I watched the video several times.

If you watch it again he is sliding to a stop trying to stop before running into pack. when he finally does slide to a stop he is already inside the tuff block.. He made a split second choice and went left. What choice would you have made with photographers, tuff blocks and a bunch of stopped riders in front of you?

He chose to go left. Watch the video and see the only guy to come from the middle of the track and take a hard left turn and cut the track was Ferry.

J-Law was already on the inside of the tuff blocks when he finally slid to a stop.

He came back on the track in about 4th or 5th place.

By your logic he should have sat there and waited for the pack to clear in front of him.

By saying he passed a bunch of guys its cheating. No I don't think so. Your telling me he has to wait and see who is going to make it through. They were all stopped. Just because they were not on the ground doesn't mean he can't pass them.

I am NOT a Jlaw fan....but the kid earned MAD RESPECT from me last night. I watched that start over and over , and even in slow motion about 10 friggin' times....and when Jlaw turned left....he had no where else to go. Same with ferry and short. It was a complete mess in front of them with bike and bodies........i think all three of those guys had no where else to go. They also rode extremely slow through that little 10' long infield. And whoever stated that Jlaw was behind the tuff blocks is correct. I actually think that the possible 10 riders that we're down in front of him we're happy he made that decision and not tried to go THROUGH them.......wide open and dump the fuggin clutch type riding. Oldfart....you are wrong on this dude. I don't think AMA is going to do anything about it , because from Jlaws perspective ....what the hell else was he going to do?

And why the hell aren't you jumping on Ferry and Short here? Why just Jlaw? don't get it. Just sayin'.

He had nowhere else to go. Reed and Villo were behind J-Law and since things happen in a split second one or two positions make a HUGE difference in split second things. He did not cheat.

You are the one making excuses because you can't stand that J-law kicked ass.
What race were you watching. Reed and Villo were in front of J-Law along with everyone
else. Left turn across the track meant 4th instead of 20th out of the corner. He had plenty of time to decide what he was going to do and he chose to cheat. Rode a great
race after that. Not an opinion, just fact. He still got second.

Monster is the Feld Supercross sponsor not AMA's. Oh and Daytona was sponsored by Honda.

S
Sondy, I think your on to something.

According to oldfart, Monster protects Jason from the AMA.

Maybe Honda is protecting Jason also, to lure him away from riding a Yamaha.

haha who really cares?

The guy comes out, lays down the fastest practice time out of everybody. Ends up on the box. What happens on the track is racing, you can explain everything or why "this happened or that". He rode damn good. If you think a few seconds by avoiding a pileup deters from his performance your an idiot.

Eddie, you know what your right about that. I'm bummed for Ryan because he should be
up there winning Anaheim I and Daytona when James goes down, but instead he's made mistakes at the wrong time and has only managed three podiums. He's better than that and he's still 4th in the championship with all his falls. I can't wait till he rides
a race where he gets a good start and doesn't go down. I would have liked to see how
close he would have gotten to Jason if he hadn't stalled it. I wished J-Law wouldn't have
cut the track so he could have came through the pack with Chad & Ryan, but I guess we
will all have to wait till next week to see the next episode.

Villopoto hasn't beat Jason or Chad all season. What makes you think he is entitled to wins.

GoRide2, I mentioned the races where James has went down and Chad was at the
back of the pack. If he would of been up where Josh was or where Jason ended up he
would have had a chance for a win. I'm not saying he is as fast as JS or CR yet, but
if he had the same circumstances of those races and was up front he would have been
in 1st or 2nd like Jason & Josh.

They have only raced once together on bike bikes.....don't really think that's a good basis to go off of. Just look at the two years how in the lites class....jason wasn't even on the same planet as RV. And again , jason rode awesome last night , so i'm not taking anything away from him.

Only time will tell , and to be honest ALL OF OUR opinions won't make a fucking bit of difference!

There are far too many dumbass replies on both sides of this topic for me to reply to each one individually, so...

Lawrence rode great. But he still cut the track (although to avoid carnage), but the bottom line is, he gained several positions when he should have waited to re-enter at a reasonable position. I'd say at least 5 or 6 with the slew of downed riders. Would he have gotten 2nd anyway? Very possible given how well he was riding. But what if stewart just does 20 donuts around the finish line next weekend? He's fast enough to win, so why bother docking him?

Reed threw down the fastest lap, and people creating new names so they can spew more useless drivel is apparently the new hot shit 'round here.

Then you re-joined for the right reasons. people lately have been acting like complete douchebags, getting banned, then don't get the message and keep coming back to stir up shit.
