Flatout, I think you'd be stoked if they released a remake of EA Sports Supercross. No lie, I'd be in heaven too hahaha! Between the two strokes, coolest era bikes and gear, the riders, and today's physics, moto guys would be in heaven Laughing
100% true. I have no doubts that Monster Energy Supercross will, undoubtedly, be my all time favorite game. But until Feb 13th, that title goes to EA Supercross 2000. Loved the era and game. And it was really the only SX game that actually even tried to replicate the true authentic series.

But MES will be king in my eyes in less than a month.

I am mainly excited about having the authentic 2017 tracks, arenas and environments along with of course the real roster, bikes, gear, livery. But I won't lie. I know there are some brilliant track makers out there that will make some awesome tracks, hopefully some new or better yet classic replicas.

Idk about all of you guys but I’m really hoping marx puts together some kind of site to have online racing leagues like back in the day with reflex and alive. I can’t wait for this game to come out

You can do online championships in MES. Not much details but maybe you can invite players in a closed group or leave it open to anyone. Also I think you can do it on Xbox live. I'll have to check for the PS4. Should be fun.

Edit: I know there's only so many riders that can be on the track at the same time but I'm hoping the online championships isn't capped at the same amount. Especially since they implemented heats, semis, lcq and main event.

^ It will probably be just like MXGP series. You set the amount of races you want to race and whether the session is private or public. If public, people can join in the middle of the championship. Usually a 4 race championship. But its not something where you race 1 track then the next week race another track and it keeps the points. Its more like, as long as the lobby is open. Still cool though. Just most likely nothing new.

I have no idea how it is in the MXGP series. Only played the first one for a short amount of time.

Is there custom championships in MXGP 3? If yes then it'll more than likely be the same thing. Hope it keeps the points. Also, hoping it's not race after race but more along the lines of 1 race a week or however many you set and at a certain time. Not everyone can sit and play for 4 hours straight but most can make the time for a race during the week say for example Wednesday 9pm EST.

Back when I played Untamed there was different racing series/classes on different nights of the week which was pretty fun. Some were set for the North American time zone and some for EU. Had a lot more time to play back then.

Yeah, basically, the are two online modes. MXGP (single race) and championship. If its a public lobby, you can set it up so that in the game lobby between races, the next track to be put into the championship is voted on by everyone in the lobby. If you're the host you can set it up so that its just main events or full days (heats, lcq, main). But most people do mains only (or in MXGP single motos) because it is already kind of long to expect a whole lobby to commit to 4 races. Its even crazier to commit to 4 full events (practicing, qualifying, moto1, moto2). That being said, its very customizable however, most people just start a championship lobby and people come in and race 4 races. Still super fun to try to battle for the championship even if its just a series of 4 online races in a row.

Edit:
I wish they would do what you're thinking because that would be amazing. But I don't think its going to be anything like that based off of how they have run their games in the past. I would like to know if that's possible to do though. I don't know a lot about how online gaming works but would it be possible for a server to hold your series stats from week to week?

yeah but if you are fast in MXGP3 you dont case shit, and u rarely overjump. This game will play very similarly I think. If you wanna ride like a goon then you can case and overjump and not hit any rhythm and still make your way around a track without crashing. However, if you're riding like that, you're gonna be smoked by the people who actually know what they're doing.
I disagree to an extent. You can completely blow a rhythm section and just ride it out like a giant whoop section and not lose much if any time as long as you don't get bucked off the bike. It doesn't reward you for carrying a good rhythm most of the time. Usually when I get beat at MXGP3 it's because the faster guys have some better lines or are hitting the corners a little better.

Ya but I’m talking mxot type races if anybody raced on there remembers how much fun it was.

I raced Untamed on MX Online Tournaments. So much fun. Practically everyone was fast on there.

I don't see why they couldn't keep the stats up to date from week to week. CoD, Battlefield, etc. All keep your stats. You can compare them to the world or your friend list.

Makes competing against friends a little more competitive. When you see lap times and wonder how the fuck can he go that fast it pushes you just that much more or rage lol.

Not sure if anyone here has the Nintendo Switch or plan on getting it for their kids but the game will be available on there as well minus the track editor.

Kind of unrelated but I got a PS4 for boxing day, and picked up Encore & MXGP3. I find they both have different aspects that are "realistic". People talk about the turbo clutch in Encore, but really did you not see the guys jumping the triple from almost a dead stop on the inside last week? And it's better than the MXGP option which is sit there and spin or bog and go nowhere.

I also find MXGP very inconsistent when it comes to crashes. You can ping off a banner on the outside of the corner or use it as a wall ride, but the second you touch a tuff block on the inside of the turn it resets you.

But with Encore I also see how you can just about never let off to get around the track, not as bad as the older games but still there. And maybe I'm still just figuring out the joystick thingamajig but fuck the damn thing won't go straight off the jumps! Always catywhompus.

Having the track editor (even if it's pretty basic) should help keep the game fresh. That's one of my biggest gripes about all these console MX games is that there aren't enough tracks. I've got six months to binge play this before the baby then it's game over! Lol

Has there been any word on whether they will provide updates throughout the 2018 season? i.e. Updated riders similar to updating rosters in Madden, etc. Even if the updated riders didn't have official face scans, it would still be nice to be able to keep the rider list current and keep up-to-date with injuries, etc.

Switch the chassis to “upgrade chassis” instead of “factory chassis”. Fixed the problem for me. The way I understand it, they both allow the same freedom to whip/scrub, however the upgrade chassis assists with bringing the bike back more naturally as if gyro is working with you, whereas with the factory chassis you have to manually control the pitch/roll/yaw to bring the bike back with the controls, as if there is no gyro in effect to help bring the bike back.

No idea but doubt it if they don't currently do it with the MXGP series. I always found it a little odd that the riders were never updated to their current ride via patch when a new season or rider switched teams. It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to do.

I totally agree. It wouldn't be difficult at all to include updated rider information throughout the 2018 season. They want it to be a simulation, but there's not a mainstream sports related video game out that doesn't provide frequent updates. I see that the description notes that it features "your favorite rider from the 2017 season", so that probably solidifies the answer to all of this. Such a disappointment.

Just one more reason to get one of those things. Wouldn't want the little one to fall on the floor when you get up in a rage because someone passed you just before the finish line lol.

Safer option would be to bring the crib in the living room/bedroom or wherever you play games or simply leave them with the wife/gf especially if they're at the age where they start picking up words. I tend to curse quite a bit when things aren't going my way. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Happens when you're competitive I guess lol.

Have you guys played around in their track editor on facebook?

https://apps.facebook.com/1756093254693591/
The MES Facebook track editor is very basic and kind of pointless.
But the actual in-game editor looks awesome. It looks very flexible (crossing over the start straight and over-under bridge cross overs) and should help keep the game fun after career mode gets boring. Which is the problem with MXGP3 , great game but repetitive career mode...

Can't wait for the 13th!

FYI - I noticed on the xbox1 last night they had the game listed to pre-order. 59.99 standard edition pre-order gets I think some red fly gear and I think it was 69.99 for preorder for season pass edition. I may just do the season pass just as a big thanks for including a track editor in a game.

I’ve always been against the idea of season passes. (We already pay $60 for a game, why should we pay extra for a few extra maps?) But at least Milestone isn’t charging the usual $20-25 for the season pass. $10 is more tempting, I suppose.
