James Stewart down in the first turn along with a few others. I was a little surprised they didn't whip out the red flag. Smart move.

they had the track cleared pretty well. now if a couple of those riders played possum, well then it would have been red flagged. Hate to be that rider tho!

in fact the track was cleared quickly once everyone knew who's bike was who's.

why would they need to red flag it when that part of the track isnt used after the start of the race.

Why did they red flag last weeks race then?

If James had Mitch Payton in his corner, there would have been a red for sure.

Because at "last weeks" race they actually came into the first turn area.

At Daytona's track they never went into the start turn again after the gate drop.
They jumped onto the straight at the end of the Stairway section after the start turn.

Both these guys have it right. The track only used the first turn on the start, unlike Indy.

Well one thing the lap times are longer at daytona, so they have more time to get going and the fact that they dont use that part of the race. But what a spectatcle. Kudos to Stewart for not giving up. That takes heart!

Man, Im becoming a HUGE Steward fan, but Im glad they didnt red flag that one. Bottom line, he started the carnage with his mistake, and so he payed the piper. Man, did he ride well though. That kid has HEART. You cant help but like him.

Just because there is a crash in the first turn does not mean a Red Flag.
