Getting back in to it can be so hard if you have gotten out of the habit!!

Honestly, the best thing for helping you get back into it is to simply have a program to follow. If you don't need to worry about what you are going to do each day, you just rock up to the gym, open up your program and start training, then things just become so much easier!!

Having a program to follow also helps as you can track your progress and see your results which goes a long way to helping with motivation!

Side note... Strength training doesn't give you arm pump. Training like a body builder gives you arm pump. If you keep reps lower (below 6) and focus on building pure strength in the main lifts and then just do a little bit of supplementary training, not focusing on getting a pump or getting fatigued, then you will build a good solid strength base to work off and then build on that base with your conditioning and cardio training.

Dude you don't need strength training during the season just burn two full gas tanks per practise session haha

Gym guy here. Natural, no supplements at all for years. Not enough eating typically but I've streamlined my shift work slightly to get better meal consistency, and see what I can do.

You're one up on me Bill, although I drove past a gym today. Actually, drive by several gyms a week, sometimes even daily. Riding is all I get in now, and finally got up the conditioning to run a 30 minute practice moto, at the end of the day. 3 20's, and a 30 to close the day, all by mid September. (Weird, I'm always strongest at the end of the day.) Huh, killin' it. Oh well, 55 yr old truck driver, what can I expect?

Isnt it amazing the natural high and euphoria you experience after a workout? Thats what I miss. Leaving the gym, feeling like a million bucks and knowing i did something positive/productive. Its ingrained in our DNA to be physically active/challenged and is very rewarding. I want that feeling back

Anyone else hit the Pre-Workout drinks? Found them to be VERY effective but very addictive, struggle to get a good session in without them now days. Optimum Nutritions- Platinum Pre is a personal favourite.
