I have an '04 RM 250 with the shorter Kickstarter and want to put the longer '06- kicker. Is there any reason that it won't bolt up and clear ? I'm guessing I'll be fine, but before I spend $135 on a brand new part, I figured I'd see if there was something I'm missing... ??

When I kick my bike with the one I have, the peg hits the top of my boot and it bruised my foot. I'm hoping the newer Kickstarter will give me more clearance

Are the 05' and older starters shorter then the 06'? What kick starter do you have on there now?

Btw.....A-kit arrived! And I got the triple clamps ordered!! Thank you again Shaun!

'05 might be the newer one, I can't remember if it was '05 or '06.

The part numbers are the same for 05' and 06'.....so maybe yours is the 04'? I didn't realize they were different. And speaking of which , I should order a new one myself , as mine is getting a little sloppy.

2005 was the year Suzuki started using a longer kickstarter:

The kickstarter shaft part numbers are different though:
01-04: 26211-05D03
05-06: 26211-37F00

Time fir some cut, chop, add, weld. Modify kickstarter yourself. Plenty of room to work with.

I don't know the answer but confirm it before assuming it will fit. I have an '02 and an '06 and I've seen strange differences when swapping parts between them... small things like different heights on disc bolts that cause problems.

I'd volunteer to check this for you but my '02 is inaccessible right now due to a home renovation.

One is studded and one takes a bolt instead of a nut. Probably slide right on still.....
